There's a old irish saying that goes along the lines of this - if Adam and his Eden paradise is to sunrise, then Ireland is to sunset. That may explain why Lilith, Adam and eve are currently having a whale of a time in places like Tory Island.... There home!!!!! -we live in changing times- just saying

My favorite Irish quote is, “Here’s to our wives and girlfriends. May they never meet”.

The only old Irish saying I know is
"An Irishman is never drunk as long as he can hang on to a blade a grass and not fall off the face of the earth"

Another Irish friend has this plaque in her kitchen
" Come in,sit down, relax, converse, our house don't always look like this. Sometimes it's even worse"
But I'm not sure how much that had to do with being Irish . Lol

My family is Irish and the family crest has the motto 'Shailae Raebe Raeshus' which translates to 'that red headed lass has a nice bum.'

Okay only some of that is true. I am of Irish descent and I do appreciate a red headed Irish lasses rump, but I swear to the sidhe that my love of read heads does not stem from my heritage, I'm sure many ginger Irishmen have nice backsides too but I don't swing that way.

I have some french in my family heritage too but don't ever offer me escargot, unless it's being served by a red headed Irish lass wearing a beret, then I would walk over hot coals to eat a snail.

That has been a Royal Navy toast for the last couple of hundred years. Not sure that it's Irish in origin. In the Royal Navy there is a daily toast, for example on Friday it's tradition to toast "a willing foe and sea-room" and on Wednesdays they toast "ourselves, because no one else cares for us".

I know this as my wife worked in with the navy.
