Bottom line: Caring about what celebrities think may be pointless, but the reality is that when they spout off their mouths and insult people during a charity event that should not be politicized, there can be and usually are negative consequences.

Wait.

“Anyone who believes that there’s no such thing as global warming must be blind or unintelligent.”

If you'd really think that there is global warming (and only the manmade-part is up to debate) you'd have no reason to be insulted. Amirite? So you're a liar that feels offended and comes up with the last bastion of bellyfeel drivel after being called out a few times. Newspeak at it's finest.

The word bellyfeel refers to a blind, enthusiastic acceptance of an idea.

"Consider, for example, such a typical sentence from a Times leading article as Oldthinkers unbellyfeel Ingsoc. The shortest rendering one could make of this in Oldspeak would be: 'Those whose ideas were formed before the Revolution cannot have a full emotional understanding of the principles of English Socialism.' But this is not an adequate translation. [...] [O]nly a person thoroughly grounded in Ingsoc could appreciate the full force of the word bellyfeel, which implied a blind, enthusiastic and casual acceptance difficult to imagine today." — Orwell's 1984 appendix[12]

en.wikipedia.org...

Not that difficult today though. Now do me a favour and slap yourself in the face for being a lying piece of douche.

Time to move on, at least for me. I would recommend most do the same...

Sure. Or just speak for yourself and try some honesty next time around. But who on Ceres cares anyway, what's in the dark will come to light eventually. Have at it!

Well, he is correct.

One must be blind or stupid to at least not consider the information in regards to global warming/climate change.

Yep, one has to be stupid not to understand that Climate Change is natural, and in the ongoing climate change Earth began warming in the 1600s, which is over 250 before the height of the industrial revolution...

What this means is that "the warming' began over 250 years before CO2 levels rose rapidly. Not to mention, that there are "unintelligent folk" who don't know that during warming cycles greenhouse gases increase naturally as well. the claim that "mankind's activities were the ones to increase CO2 so much" is only repeated by "unintelligent people".

Not to mention, according to NASA back in 1898 CO2 levels on Earth's atmosphere was 294.9, rounding it up we get 295ppm.

In 1998 atmospheric CO2 levels were 366.27, which if we round it up is 366 ppm.

data.giss.nasa.gov...

This means that from 1898-1998 CO2 levels increased by 71ppm and in that same time frame we know temperatures increased by ~0.8 degrees.

Now, if we look at the amount of CO2 that has increased from 1998 (366ppm) until 2016 (405ppm) we know that in 18 years CO2 levels increased by 39ppm. This is a bit less than half the amount of CO2 that increased from 1898-1998. Taking that in consideration if CO2 was the cause of the warming from 1898-1998 and it caused a ~0.8 degree increase in temperatures then it is only logical that if CO2 has increased by 39ppm then temperatures should have increased ~0.3 to ~0.4 degrees from 1998-2016 right?

But in fact, in those 18 years even though CO2 levels increased by 39ppm, which is almost half of the 71ppm CO2 levels that increased from 1898-1998, temperatures only increased by ~0.1

This is Why it is Not Possible that CO2 is the Cause of Global Warming.

So what happened? did CO2 levels decided not to warm the atmosphere as much anymore as it had done from 1898-1998?

But again, unintelligent people can't add up all the observations, and facts that prove the AGW claim is nothing but a hoax. Which is why so many AGW scientists have been caught manipulating data, posting false information, rigging temperature data and erasing the raw data, etc, etc...

But again, "unintelligent people" can't understand this...

The idea that Anthropogenic Global Warming is equivalent to pollution is a piss poor argument. I think we can all agree that mankind pollutes the environment in many ways and that many things that aren't being done should be done to remediate pollution problems.

As to the belief that human generated CO2 emissions will cause massive global catastrophes, that's not likely. There is no scientific consensus on the issue. There is a massive political pseudo-scientific consensus, however, that it AGW is true.

The solution to the problem according to this political pseudo-scientific consensus, is a massive array of global taxes and measures that would have, according to even the most positive estimates, a very slight effect.

In essence, the climate change argument amounts to one of the greatest mass efforts at virtue signalling that we have seen in the modern age.

There are many environmental causes I can join, but the AGW types don't seem to care about the continuous radiation releases from Fukushima. They don't seem to care about the environmental damage caused by the quite regular oil spills in Africa. They don't seem to care about the genetic pollution caused by the introduction of genetically modified plants and animals into our environment. In short, they don't care about industrial pollution, even though it is the largest source of pollution.

They don't care, in short, because they don't know. Or they believe the propaganda paid for by industry that tells them that industry is always good. No, let's not look at industry. Let's examine our own carbon footprints so we feel guilty enough to pay more taxes to the government-industrial complex.

Oceanic shipping generates far more CO2 than private vehicles. That's true.

So shove your virtue signalling carbon footprint where the sun don't shine. I pay enough taxes, I buy responsibly and I don't throw my trash on the ground.

All of the climate data that shows an increase in temps has been fudged. Why? So you can pay more for #ty government and less control of your own lives.

Singer Stevie Wonder kicked off Tuesday’s star studded Hand In Hand telethon to raise money for hurricane recovery by getting political. Wonder started the show by saying, “Anyone who believes that there’s no such thing as global warming must be blind or unintelligent.”

dailycaller.com...

That was his first comment of the night. Way to appeal to the whole audience there Steve.

But I digress. I'm ready to believe. In fact, I'm full blown "into it". Now, what do I do different? (besides not have to go to jail now)

What changes? did the world just get a bit brighter? Did I save a few starving kids in a third world country? Did I single handedly stave off the next great hurricane? Or is everything the same, and my belief really doesn't change anything at all?

I'm going to see him play in ny next Saturday
I'll report back

Should be an awesome show. His music is timeless. Let us know if he gets political, or just plays the music that changed the world.
