Silly,

There isn't enough room in prisons for violent criminals.

Now, we should imprison people for not believing in certain scientific models?

I think there is little question that climate change is occurring but prison for those who can't or don't want to see?

So if someone believes that climate change is B.S, then ya, denying a thing is based on your belief it isn't right.

And imprisoned, my, guess would be, locking people up.

And yes, read the article.

Do the articles really say what is claimed? That people should be jailed for their opinions?

What?

That sounds right. Now, who is it that those bad old climate nuts think should be locked up? Everyone who expresses "skepticism" about climate change?

And yes, read the article.
I did. Have you read the articles it refers to?

Now, which of those says someone should be jailed for expressing a "skeptical" position on climate change?

One of your sources:

But there is scientific skepticism... and there is a malicious, profiteering quietist agenda posturing as skepticism. There is uncertainty about whether man-made climate change can be stopped or reversed... and there is the body of purulent pundits, paid sponsors, and corporate grifters who exploit the smallest uncertainty at the edges of a settled science.

Different matter than wanting jail-time for "climate deniers"? You damn right it is.

Right. So who's calling for jail time for your average run of the mill climate denier?

If they are doing so I agree that they are full of crap. But again, who is doing that?

“Climate change denial should be a crime,” declared the Sept. 1 headline in the Outline. Mark Hertsgaard argued in a Sept. 7 article in the Nation, titled “Climate Denialism Is Literally Killing Us,” that “murder is murder” and “we should punish it as such.”

From the article in OP

I know what the article in the OP says.
Have you read the source articles? Here's more of what Hertsgaard said:

When top tobacco executives swore to Congress that nicotine wasn’t addictive, their assertion, though laughable, did not make it true. Forty-six state attorneys general forced those companies to pay at least $206 billion for their wickedness. Now, the individuals and institutions pushing climate denial must be called out with even greater vigor: in newspaper columns, on TV and radio talk shows, in town halls, at the ballot box, and by consumer boycotts, legal investigations, shareholder resolutions, street protests, and more.

www.thenation.com...

Nobody cares what you think about climate change. You don't influence policy decisions. You're safe.

Be real. Look at exactly what they say... sure we are not coming after you nobodies yet. They want Rush Limbaugh, talk radio people, public news reporters who speak out, and people who make youtube videos and "publicly" are skeptical or a dreaded infidel denier.

See, I don't deny climate change.... I deny the bull$hit money scam solutions and pro-leftest organization business regulations which enrich "special companies" who donate to the DNC. I deny a UN mandated money grabs, carbon trading scams, carbon credit scams, etc as seen in many of my posts. The Agenda is Scams, Taxes, and pro-partisan wealth redistribution and regulations period. Nobody really gives a crap about the CO2 and most people if being honest already know that. These Tax scams and Carbon credits have done nothing but increase carbon output and nobody cares as long as the "Correct" people are profiting from the scam.

Attempts to deceive the public on climate change, and to consequently block any public policy to tackle it, contribute to roughly 150,000 deaths a year already—Torcello again:

Those denialists should face jail. They should face fines. They should face lawsuits from the classes of people whose lives and livelihoods are most threatened by denialist tactics.

Let's make a clear distinction here: I'm not talking about the man on the street who thinks Rush Limbaugh is right, and climate change is a socialist United Nations conspiracy foisted by a Muslim U.S. president on an unwitting public to erode its civil liberties.

I'm talking about Rush and his multi-million-dollar ilk in the disinformation business. I'm talking about Americans for Prosperity and the businesses and billionaires who back its obfuscatory propaganda. I'm talking about public persons and organizations and corporations for whom denying a fundamental scientific fact is profitable, who encourage the acceleration of an anti-environment course of unregulated consumption and production

The implication being that if they bump off the high profile deniers and still can't convince people, then they come after the next set they can't convince.

It's not about convincing people they are right. It's about shutting you up because they can't convince you.

Yes profiteers.

My money scam solutions? What solutions would that be?
You prefer that Exxon make more money while lying about what it knows? You prefer that Limbaugh make more money by feeding ignorance. I don't.

Is that essay more hyperbolic than one of Limbaugh's rants?

Hey, didn't Rush say that the hurricane forecasts were a scam? He stayed put, didn't he? Florida is just fine, isn't it?

You are pretty dishonest, Phage.

You conveniently left out the first sentence of the paragraph that you quoted.

"It is past time to call out Trump and all climate deniers for this crime against humanity. No more treating climate denial like an honest difference of opinion. "

He then goes on equate climate change denial with murder.

“To refuse to act against global warming is to condemn thousands of people to death and suffering today and millions more tomorrow. This is murder, even if Trump’s willful ignorance of climate science prevents him from seeing it.”

Murder is a capital crime, it seems that he wants to jail if not execute climate deniers.
