To say that the States elect the President rather than the People is merely specious.

It's more correct than saying the People do.

There is a reason the title is "President of the United States", not "President of the People of the United States."

When the Constitution had been written, a war had just been fought to free the People from a king. There was no hurry to set up an office that would create a new one. The State governments are the intended buffer between the People and the President. As such, the States assign Electors and determine how those Electors shall vote. As we saw from the Democrat fiasco/tantrum last year, they are not necessarily beholden to the vote of the People though they can deduce the general opinion of the State, as my post said.

Fun fact:

Mo re young people voted for Bernie Sanders than Trump and Clinton combined — by a lot

Both statists effectively lost the youth with their backwards leaning crap. Which is a rather good sign after all.

Confetti?

According to Hillary Clinton, we can stick a fork into the Trump Presidency. There's no doubt in her mind that he colluded with the Russians to beat her...to Cheat. Oh My!

Your source:

The investigation, meanwhile, is heating up, as the former FBI director leading the probe looks to question several top current and former Trump advisers.

What? Comey is going to question current and former advisors?

There must be more than one former FBI Director involved in the entire sordid mess. Now, I wonder whom that could be? hmm??

Funny, the writer can't bring himself to write Mueller's name.

They're probably just done editing every second piece, now that Trumps Reign of Resignations (is it a TM already?) has pushed them to the Outer Limits (TM). A cheap workaround of sorts with main focus on positions instead.

No, it's not a good sign at all that younger people don't want to work and want handouts and socialism from Bernie.

Good for you, prejudices like that might help to ignore the western child poverty for a greater profit. Congrats! We deny ignorance much today, do we?

Here it my response to you & Hillary

I am not posting the link but recently it was noted that at least 15% percent of Bernie primary voters decided they were NEVER going to vote for Hillary at least 12% actually switched to Trump, out of pure spite, the rest stayed home or voted third party. And in that analysis it was clearly shown that it cost Hillary the election in the famed blue wall that Trump won by the slimmest of margins, places he should never have had a chance in like Elliot county Wisconsin. Places where all kinds of white people voted for Obama twice.

Lol....there is plenty of proof.

And if anybody thought the 2016 election was a clown show wait until 2020 comes around. Hillary has revenge planned. She won't be a candidate but she will be working behind the scenes to bring the election to a level of lows that have yet to be seen. Her and Bill live in the sewer when it comes to politics...with nothing to lose they will go even lower to get back at Trump.

Be prepared to be amazed at the level of stupidity this next election reaches. And look for the Clinton's to be pulling all the puppet strings from behind the curtain. Make no mistake, their level of hate and their anger of the 2016 result will make them relevent in 2020. It will just be less obvious who is paying off the lowlifes and scum that will come out of the woodwork.

Sure, as long as we also recount PA, MI, WI and FL.

Or hey, here's a thought ... let's have the election again now and see what the new numbers are ... just for fun.

Show us some of this "plenty of proof" that the Primary elections were fraudulent then.

This afternoon, Hillary went off the deep-end during a podcast. She warns Democrats, "Don't be like Bernie Sanders!", and then commences to explain why he lost (and she won) the 2016 Democratic primary.

That's the most ridiculous level of acrobatic semantics I've ever seen from you.

All of what you just said here is merely your own rather odd opinion and has no basis in the letter nor the spirit of the Constitution.

The States choose Electors under their own laws because of the Tenth Amendment. EVERY State bases the choice of the Electors either directly or indirectly on the popular vote in each respective State.

All the rest of this ... musing ... is merely your own conception.
