"You'll get tired of all the producing, I promise you that."

Jesus, the gullibility of some people.

You're just a negative nellie and a bit misguided.

What's the problem?

Do you resent that he's actually try to keep his campaign promises or is it that you just don't like them? You wouldn't be alone in that respect.

Some people just don't know what's good for them.

I care less about your personal opinion about "me" than I do about mindless Trump evangelism.

Trump has done virtually nothing. You and other Trump cultists are desperate to hold something up as "winning" if you didn't recognize the paraphrase.

Stay on topic; I'm not the topic.

Trump's toxic.

I'd put more trust in a war rather than a wall saving his ass.

Americans do love them some war, at least, at first.

Might get one of them too.

I bet we win it pretty quick. No time for regrets.

And just a few months ago, for eight years, we heard such lamentation that the President wasn't "working with" the Congress.

Right, he's the President. He's supposed to be the Chief Executive, Commander in Chief, Head of State, Chief Ambassador, etc. (You'll find the list in COTUS, Article II).

He's not a CEO and he's not a King. If he wants legislation, he works with the Congress.

Working with the Congress in a bipartisan way is not some empty-handed effort to capture the news cycle for 24 hours.

You're more than welcome to keep believing the Trump BS.

I'm already paying taxes to improve the bottom lines of billionaires. I wonder which side Mr. T will be on?

Pfft.

That's what he is doing.

Even dumping on "his own" guys to get stuff done.

It's what should be the norm, not partisan BS like the left made into a science.

Talk about herd mentality.

I don't know what you mean when you say you improve the bottom line.

You decry partisan BS while performing it.

You can't make this up.

Trump has demonstrated little more than bumbling incompetence to this point.

Let's hope it gets better.

Lol, sure he has, especially right up to winning the election.

Hey as an independent, I'm just as partisan as you are.

Trump is doing just fine, probably above average all things considered.

Your definition of fine is much different than mine. I will say that Trump is performing the role he was intended to.

Indeed.

He reminds one of many performers past their prime ... he's got a few tricks, and he keeps repeating them.

Sad closing, really, to a decent if somewhat tabloidesque career...

That is why I couldn't trust Reagan. I think history proves that sentiment to be a wise one.

'This is great!': Trump called Chuck Schumer to tell him about the great TV coverage their bipartisan deal got

I got a call early this morning" from Trump, Schumer told The New York Times on the podcast "The New Washington" on Thursday.

"He said, 'This was so great!' Here’s what he said: 'Do you watch Fox News?' I said, 'Not really.' 'They’re praising you!' Meaning me. But he said, 'And your stations' — I guess meaning MSNBC and CNN — 'are praising me! This is great!'"

Well, I guess the Trump Steaks, Trump Airlines, Trump University, etc. etc. were a bust then.

Glad the old guy found something.

Truth is Trump going left is a good strategy. His 30 percent base will never abandon him and are not politically aware enough to recognize a move to the left. Trump can wrangle in more support and might get back to 50% in time for 2020.

Trump might be a bigot and idiot, but his need to be liked "trump's" everything.

Unfortunately for Trump I don't think Robert Mueller cares about debt ceilings or approval ratings.
