No, the KKK has never ever been a leftist organization. Stop this lie.

In rough order of your "presentation" ...

You have zero evidence that Robert Byrd was a KKK member after the late 1940s.

Back up my claim? Read your own insipid posts.

My goodness, your Wiki article states what I've stated multiple times in the thread ... the matter is a regional one; prior to 1970 most Southerners were Democrats, after that date, most Southerners are Republican.

Southerners created the Confederacy, Southerners started the first KKK, Southerners fought for White Supremacy in the 19th century and many still do today.

Read a history book, for goodness sakes ... heck read your own article.

Who cares "when" he was a KKK Clan leader? He was until his death and had been for decades. Again, research it yourself. The proof is all over the web. I'm really getting tired of having to do homework for you guys. Your comment is a diversionary tactic. You are playing semantics. He was a Klan leader and even started his own chapter. What does before 1940 have to do with anything? He was a known racist, and he didn't hide it.

More than that though I think people are being duped...

Conservatives have created this conspiracy fantasy world where everyone who isn't a hard right conservative is the left and is involved in a vast conspiracy against them..

This really has been going on, though I think the problem is bigger on the internet than in the real world, fortunately. Republican leaders don't believe in the really crazy stuff, just part of their base does, and so they pander to it to some extent. Of course it is alarming, like how Alex Jones got legitimized by Trump.

It's tragic how this delegitimizes all conspiracy theories. There have to be some good, legit questions that could be asked, but it gets drowned out in the paranoia and hysteria. In the end this helps the elites.

The communists in Nazi Germany wanted to change the system in a new way.. thus they are the progressives or left.

The nazis wanted a return to their ancient aryan glory.. (that didn't actually exist lol.. but still)

I don't think it's fair to call the original Nazis conservative, it's more like they wanted to create an alternative modernity. They weren't just trying to hold on to the past, they had new ideas; they wanted to revitalize Germany by tapping into the past, perhaps. In the early days of Fascism in Italy they even had a feminist element in the movement, and Futurist artists and all kinds of weirdos. One guy wanted to abolish pasta, he said it made Italians sluggish and dumb. Might be some truth to it, too much carbs.

A lot of it just got pushed out once they came to power.

It's true that the Nazis idolized medieval German knights and such, but the Soviets made propaganda about old Slavic warriors too, only they had to change it around a bit to fit with Communism.

That was all democrats...

I'm sure you're ready to stand up against the heritage of White Southern Christian men who did all these horrible things, right?

And tell us Gryphon66...what about all those "white Christians who were Republicans" and also got hanged, beaten to death, and burned alive by the throngs of the kkk Democrats for trying to defend blacks?... You want to include all "white Christians" in your witch hunt...But you don't want to exclude those "white Republican men and women" who suffered at the hands of the kkk democrats for trying to help blacks...

Not to mention...i am sure you are ready to stand up against the heritage of atheists left-wingers who have caused some of the most heinous crimes in the 19th-21st century such as the murder of over 110 million people, not including all other socialist genocides and murders...

It is a weird dynamic..

I think the real problem that extends to today is the issue of inheritance..

Western society is built on old money. Money handed down from father to son in the form of. Cash,, title, land or a business.

Well before the last generation of so NO african American received ANY benefit from their fire fathers labor..

NONE received land , none received a buisness.. every single African American in American history is born with absolutely NOTHING..

That doesn't go away in a couple generations..

A huge chunk of "whites"(a fake concept) either only indirectly or didn't benefit at all from slavery or segregation, but that said I'm sure there is old money you can 100% trace back to slave labor and even the descendants of the slaves who were exploited..

In that case should it still be too bad so sad???

It was only a hundred years ago..

They would never accept facts. Just like they would never accept that their beloved "Hillary" has also said until 2015 the same things that they claim make President Trump a racist. Even when you show evidence directly from the horse's mouth in videos they ignore it and continue with their deranged rhetorical BS "that only when the right does it, it is then racist"...

I don't think you would have many people argue that her positions have changed like the wind blows..

However those are not the "facts" I see conservative people attack hillary for..

People protect Hillary when she gets attacked for running a elite pedo ring out of a pizza shop, or the Clinton body bag nonesense..

Because they are laughable..

It is a realative term..

One side is always the left, one side the right..

What that means varies from culture to culture ..

I think at its basest form it is considered the right wing wants to conserve tradition and the left wing wants to ignore tradition and find a new way.

WRONG... It will do you good to actually learn the history of some of the most successful black businessmen in the U.S.

...
Here are 21 of the most successful black entrepreneurs throughout history:

James Forten

A Philadelphia sailmaker, Forten invented a sailmaking device that enabled him to create a highly profitable business. By the 1830s, he was worth an estimated $100,000 (or approximately $2.5 million today, when adjusted for inflation). Using his acquired wealth, Forten invested in many abolitionist initiatives, even having served as the vice-president of the American Anti-Slavery Society.
...
Samuel T. Wilcox

In the 1850s, Wilcox became a wholesale and retail grocer in Cincinnati (on top of establishing a pickling and preserving business). He was also one of the first to establish high-quality grocery stores, offering only the fanciest and best brands of hams, dried fruit, soaps, and other articles. Because of this, most of his customers were people of wealth – likely contributing to his eventual annual sales of $140,000 per year (approximately $4.2 million, adjusted for inflation).
....

tech.co...

Some more facts about some of these businessmen.

Forten, James (1766-1842)

Cuffe, Paul, Sr. (1759-1817)

I didn't say millions..

I said ANY inheritence..

The actual question is what percentage of white Americans get an inheritence??

50-60%.. at least ..

And that rate has been steadily dropping.. so it was much higher in those days.

Perhaps you should accept that it was the democrats who implemented such laws and wanted slavery to continue?... But that's too much to ask, you alongside some others want to use the "race guilt BS card" and trying to blame "republicans" and conservatives in general for what democrats did...

BTW, could you tell us what was the percentage of black people compared to white people in the U.S.?

About 51 million whites and 7 million blacks in total? Between the democrats trying to keep blacks as slaves, and the laws the democrats implemented even after they lost the civil war to refuse rights to blacks. How did you expect that there would be as many or more rich black people than whites?

Again, give your thanks to the democrats.

I am aware that when we look at today's definition of left and right, the Republican party of the Civil war era was left (bigger federal government/more taxes) and the Southern Democrats were right (states rights/less taxes). That all got switched around over time. Yes, the Democrats of that time are nothing like the Democrats of today.

Whatever you are smoking you need to quit it asap. Republicans were not "in favor of big government"... BTW, in case you didn't know Democrat Presidents have started more wars than Republican Presidents combined. Pre-civil war the democrats were in favor of expansionism as they embraced Manifest Destiny.

Manifest destiny
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
...

Historians have emphasized that "manifest destiny" was a contested concept—pre-civil war Democrats endorsed the idea but many prominent Americans (such as Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses S. Grant, and most Whigs) rejected it. Historian Daniel Walker Howe writes, "American imperialism did not represent an American consensus; it provoked bitter dissent within the national polity ... Whigs saw America's moral mission as one of democratic example rather than one of conquest.
...

When you seek to expand your people throughout lands you don't want a smaller government...

And it's not like democrats like Hillary in these days have ever stated the same plans President Trump wants to implement right?...

Oh crap, even Obama, and other democrats have also said such a wall was needed...

But of course, only Trump and Republicans, even minorities who lean to the right must be "racists" just because the left says so. But when the left says it "it's common sense"?...

List for us what makes the KKK left wing Neo.

Come on, we've done our part.

I mean left wingers support gay marriage right?

Left wingers are for equality am I right? We support the welfare system right?

Where do we tie the KKK into this? The others can't seem to explain this so maybe you can.

I lost 25 IQ points readind this thread

I highly doubt that has anything to do with this thread.

Apparently you are all very MKd and divided arguing over weather the KKK is left or right

Who cares..

Weather they are left or right does not have anything to do with what everyone else on the left or right thinks

It's 'whether'. Not weather.

.

To answer your post, I don't think there's a division on whether the KKK is left or rightwing. It's a fact the KKK is an extreme rightwing group. Their policies are evident of this. This is why nobody, after what? 14, 15 pages on this thread, has managed to list anything remotely 'leftist' about the KKK.
