Mine has a santa hat and sings "The Night Before Christmas" in the style of Elvis.

But that's a bass, not a bass.

17 years ago a mischievous Auroraaus came across a large wall to floor display of Billy Bass (es) when she was touring the USA. I couldn't help myself but press every button I could reach.

My poor mother was embarrassed. "Don't mind her, she's Australian."

I'm sure simultaneous singing Billy Bass(es) could induce quantitative seismic data.

Wasn't it pretty much expected Lil' Kim was going to have another ICBM launch right about now (I believe the 9th was the predicted date). Perhaps this was a failed launch and a big boom vs. a nuclear test?

Nah.
A missile ain't gonna do 6.3. No way, no how.

Meanwhile, any confirmation?

I'm not seeing any confirmation at all, so I decided to check out North Korean TV and they are just showing some dumb documentary on how fantastic the history of North Korea is: www.elufa-tv.net...

If it is it is , or if ain't it ain't.

The whole point is finding out the truth.

The Communist News Network was running stories when I went to bed, I just got back up now.
(Wow, what a source)

Buck

That link was wrong as well.

I think the ISC was wrong. This has to be bogus. I checked Defcon Warning System's Twitter page and this is the latest they have on it....which was 9 hours ago:

Reported North Korea earthquake is likely a false positive. We are awaiting confirmation from ISC.

What I got came from chatter, but if no seismic, no boom.

It boils down to this.

There is no way an explosion this large could be hidden from all of the different agencies and or corporations who watch the earth.

Even if the USGS were trying to hide this, as I've seen suggested somewhere, there are still EMCS, GEONET, the JMA, and not only every other official seismic agency across the world, but there are also the all of the private seismic networks not controlled by any government agency which are owned by the various petrochem exploration companies.

ISC goofed and a few ran with it.

End of story.

The only source that was reporting the latest North Korea earthquake is no longer listing it. Safe to say report is no longer valid.

Defcon on Twitter

The initial report didn't seem right to me because the supposed quake didn't show up in a number of places inc. EMSC, USGS, et al. I'm glad that I checked w/ATS.

Yeah, it was nothing. Someone reported it, but it was wrong. There was no earthquake.
