Wasn't it pretty much expected Lil' Kim was going to have another ICBM launch right about now (I believe the 9th was the predicted date). Perhaps this was a failed launch and a big boom vs. a nuclear test?

I think the ISC was wrong. This has to be bogus. I checked Defcon Warning System's Twitter page and this is the latest they have on it....which was 9 hours ago:

Reported North Korea earthquake is likely a false positive. We are awaiting confirmation from ISC.

There is no way an explosion this large could be hidden from all of the different agencies and or corporations who watch the earth.

Even if the USGS were trying to hide this, as I've seen suggested somewhere, there are still EMCS, GEONET, the JMA, and not only every other official seismic agency across the world, but there are also the all of the private seismic networks not controlled by any government agency which are owned by the various petrochem exploration companies.

ISC goofed and a few ran with it.

End of story.

The initial report didn't seem right to me because the supposed quake didn't show up in a number of places inc. EMSC, USGS, et al. I'm glad that I checked w/ATS.

Anything more on this??

Yeah, it was nothing. Someone reported it, but it was wrong. There was no earthquake.
