Can anyone confirm this report? If you go to the following link, all they have is a picture of a Tweet from a "Thomas Paine" with an earthquake alert. I went to the EMSC website and it does not have anything about this quake.

Is this for real or someone's idea of a sick joke?

Nothing on USGS.

Did notice that Mexico is having a ton of aftershocks though.

Judging by the source, I would lean toward clickbait.

Sadly Yes.

It was at 1230 local time. The coordinates are 41 degrees, 20 minutes north, 129 degrees, 2 minutes east.

One of the mods in TA's live stream just shared that in the mod chat channel and I can tell you there is no way that could be hidden.

The last time he blew one off, it showed:

I just got done watching for the night and saw no such signature, here is the current stream:

I'm calling bogus.

What I got came from chatter, but if no seismic, no boom.

I'm leaning towards the opinions of Phage, Jaded, etc - it's most likely bogus, but the tweet did reference an ISC earthquake app.

I tried to find the ISC's website and came up with this:

ISC Event Catalog Search

Didn't find anything on this either.

Digging a little further I think you will find that the app accidentally sent out a duplicate tweet.

Most nuclear underground tests do not get put on the earthquake site. I read that mine blasting and underground testing are removed as not to cause people to worry. They will still be on the sensor feeds but not reported on the site for people to see. If you have a direct link access to the equipment they will show up there.

It was that way about six years ago anyway when I was following that kind of stuff and found information on what was included for the general public.

From what I can see the first discussion started about a hour and 20 mins ago.
And has spread from there. Some were receiving updates and alerts by phone.
The first good source gave L & L so that's what I posted.
But there is a who lot of people talking about it right now.

ISC is reporting, hmmmmmmm

www.isc.ac.uk...

Sort it out Guys.... and Pretty Gal !!!

Edit:

QuakeApp is reporting

I come across Thomas Paine's texts every once in a while. He's always been pretty legit in the past - at least with stuff I come here to confirm. I'll go see and report back.

That's very true, but I just got of the phone and they are thinking ISC may have made a mistake.
I don't see how but I guess it is possible.

If it was a test, Kim missed the timing. Should have gone for Sunday morning (EST).

If true would it be another test, or more dangerously the test site collapse that was talked about a day or two ago?

And underground test does a pretty good job of collapsing all by itself.
