I'm all for ignoring the democrats ancient history.
It's irrelevant to today.
But I want the same standard applied to America's slavery ancient history.

Either forget all past sins or remember all past sins. No cherrypicking.

Saw an interesting meme about that just the other day.

"If we can't blame the "Dreamers" (DACA reference) for the sins of their parents, why do we blame white people today for the sins of slave owners?"

DNC is a hate based establishment, and is still run by hateful white folks

And there aren't any of those on the republican side, right?

You guys mastered deflection. It's an art. Truly.

Deflection is bringing up Repubs(which I am certainly not) in a DNC based thread.

Because, past aside, how many democrat KKK members are there currently?
Now, how many Republican KKK members are there currently?

Hense the point of the thread.
Dragging up the past does not change the present.

Yeah, maybe....
Who cares really (a lot of you)...

Cos the ultimate question is this...
In the year 2017...

1) Who is marching with Neo Nazis and the KKK in "unite the right" rallies...?
2) Who is lamenting Confederate statues...?
3) Who is waving Confederate flags...?

That would be Republicans-Conservatives wouldn't it...

Um, no. It's lunatics who think the amount of skin pigment in a person determines their worth. Most normal people in the year 2017 understand that there are good and bad in all shades of beige. To attribut that to all the "right" is something a retarded person might say. Chuck, don't be that guy.

Would it not?

no

Is that not correct?

no, it's not.

But they "never switched", right?

So tell me, the relevancy of the thread title as a mantra to deflect from the truth of the matter as it stands today, is what?
This is the main question (questions 1-3 are rhetorical as we all know the answer to them).

I'll be interested to hear what people think about this...

Also Mudpit because I reserve the right (pun intended) to throw dirt on your arguments.

Facts are things that exist weather we like them or not. Fantasy is cool in that we can imagine things that just aren't so, and pretend like they matter.

A fact would be that Yes, the Democrats did indeed invent the KKK and the anti civil rights movements. A history book would help you in this department.

Now, another fact is that the party's ideals have changed over the years. And somehow, the lunatics who seem to be NAZI's, also didn't like the democrats of today. (that may be the only thing we all agree on) so they seem to identify as "right", but oddly enough, the "right" doesn't seem to agree with them, hang our with them, talk to them, offer them any legitimate voice, or acknowledge their existence. Which up till now, has worked nicely as they were confined to their garages, and basements. Recently, the leftist media thought that trying to pretend that the Skinheads, NAzis, and whomever else represented the "right" was a cool thing to do, and thus, offered the idiots what they craved most of all, attention.

So yet again, the Democrats have fostered a new kinship with the KKK and their ilk, but are way to smug and superior to realize what they actually did. In other words, they are still idiots, and still doing stupid # and should probably stop.

They know. Ask if anyone here had ancestors who fight for the confederacy. If they say yes, ask them which political party those ancestors were in. Case closed.

Come to think of it, how many white Democrats actually marry a non white person?

I was doing some work for a guy here in N Wisconsin who after a day of work and sitting down for a couple of beers proudly let me know he is the pres of the local dem party. During one of his rants, he talked about how distasteful (putting it mildly)it is for a black guy to be with a white woman!

Im just waiting for ATS to stop being dumb.

No point in even making this thread. Nobody wants to be the bad guy. All conservatives are the good guys. All liberals are the good guys. (Obviously not)

A good 80% of ATS buys into the "divided we fall" agenda more easily than they used to. Idk what happened but anybody with a good amount of sense would be able to observe that both sides are lunatics being controlled by the same entities that have always been in control.

Many people are acting brand spanking new just because Trump isn't a career politician. It's the same old chess game with a couple new pieces.

The title is also the subject, I agree with the facts of it.
Its a DNC based thread because youve thinly veiled this thread, its plain to see you were triggered and had to make a point.

Who is this in response to? A person, or a strawman that kept you up all night?

Repubs never accepted the DNC's vile offspring. They just glommed onto the RNC.

Theres alot of evidence out there for paid actors/agents running these riots, I dont see your point.

I live in central Oklahoma for gods sakes, White, black, native.... Most people are mixed race of these 3. Theres no time for this orchestrated drama

My apologies, sincerely, I've been drinking since I got up and felt like having a row...
Although this thread wasn't made with you in mind.
I find you to be more rational than most, even if we disagree.

So it's not conservatives who wave Confederate flags?
Or march to preserve Confederate statues?

Is that like an alternative fact?

Man I seriously wish things were this simple where one small group of people control everything. Man, it would make dealing with them SOOO much easier, but alas that isn't the case. What is really going on is that many different powerful people with many different conflicting and aligning beliefs are in constant flux for attention. Sometimes those beliefs align with the public's will. Sometimes not. However to say that the Dems and Repubs are controlled by the same side is hokum.

The Nazis are alive and well.

The first mistake people make is trying to differentiate the left vs the right. Both sides play for the same team. There was this thing called Operation Paperclip shortly after WW2 where many high level Nazi scientists and other "skill sets" were given new names and helped create Nasa and the CIA and given safe haven in USA and Canada. Others didn't qualify for the program so the important ones were given safe haven in places like Argentina and Brazil. The scape-goats were handed over to Nuremberg.

These partisan hacks can argue all they want about who are the Nazis but in reality their team is just a charade meant to trick the gullible into following herd mentality. All these self-proclaimed alpha males letting Trump's Twitter feed do their thinking for them...LOL!

I can't make fun of one side without making fun of the other so I must point out the extreme lefties (who in my opinion are far less than the alt right extremists) are just as guilty for perpetuating this insanity. If people would put their pride down and realize that we have been lied to about almost everything, including but not limited to our "democratic" ways, we will constantly be arguing over false characters.

This is odd, my last three posts have been in a thread about Nazis where I had to mention Operation Paperclip. I must seem like some kind of bot, trust me, this is just my opinion on these issues.

The media has taken over our minds with this Nazi BS.

Until we realize that the "bad guys" were given new names and brought on over to rule us, we will never be able to admit that we are governed by Nazis, not that it's something you want to wake up one morning and realize all of a sudden.

I can clearly see Prescott Bush in this video giving the Nazi Salute...top left corner.

Who would ever thought a Republican Planned Parenthood supporter would also be a nazi? That's a whole lot of labels if you ask me. Maybe they are all a bit confused as we are.

How many KKK members are there in total...really? Maybe 1000?

I could find alot more wierdos who are in other more interesting extremist groups.

I dont know, I'm more concerned about Communists and Socialists than the KKK. Those groups are far larger and killed hundreds of thousands more people indiscriminately as far as race.

To be fair, the far right scum and far left scum are pretty comparable.
Personally, I'll take a confederate flag over a sickle and hammer all day.
Nazi's (to me) are a different story all together. Wouldn't even call them left or right.

Both parties, time and time again, have shown and proven, that they don't care about the people in general, regardless of skin color, ect.

One interesting thing to note, is that when considering both parties platforms, I believe black people would benefit more from republican control than democrats in power.
Tried and true in major cities for decades.

I had lunch the other day with a random lady who told me she's a yellow-dog democrat and she said she thinks interracial relationships are the most beautiful thing she's ever seen.

Yay for anecdotal stories!

There are virtually no 'far left' people in America though. When you say 'far left' what you really mean is people on the middle ground and the moderate right, just things have shifted so far to the Right that the center ground now looks like communism to folks way out there on the right.

I don't see many communist organisations in America at all, not even that many radical lefties. And Marxists? Nah. Nobody is flying a hammer and sickle flag in America.

And far right scum and far left scum really aren't comparable. One side is saying 'genocide for everybody that's not us!' and the other side is saying 'Hey no Genocide, we'll beat you up if you try and do Genocide'.

These are not morally equivalent positions are they?

It's mostly southerners, who live here, and understand that a war was fought here, and many people died here, and since it was a part of the United States History, it's something to be proud of. (not the war itself, but the historical content)

The push back on the Statue issue stems from the initial fears folks like I had when Dylan Roof first showed his "rebel flag" and killed people he didn't know because he was a dickhead. People like me said, the flag didn't make him do that, he did, and if you resort to blaming inanimate objects for hate, it won't stop at a flag, it will go much farther. But I was ASSURED by the sooper smart pinheads on the left that I was being crazy and that wouldn't happen. Fast forward to today, and we have people who fear artwork representing long dead civil war soldiers.

SO while I don't claim to be clairvoyant, or even intelligent, I was able to see that writing on the wall, and tried to explain what a slippery slope was to no avail. Now we are renaming buildings, tearing down statues, renaming streets. (wait until the #tards realize that entire towns are named after civil war people, maps will need to be redrawn.)

At this point, it's more comical and if our history wasn't being destroyed, it would be just damn fun to watch, but as it stands, it's sad, and it will take many years for the idiots to realize just how idiotic they were.

I know people don't want to hear this, but the parties switched on key issues in the 60's.. It's historically true that a lot of racist hard liners moved to the Republican Party during that time..

So continually talking about what the parties may have once been has little bearing on the parties today and their members.

As you note, most self identified white nationalists or "race realists" also mostly identify as conservative or Republican.
