Yeah, maybe....
Who cares really (a lot of you)...

Cos the ultimate question is this...
In the year 2017...

1) Who is marching with Neo Nazis and the KKK in "unite the right" rallies...?
2) Who is lamenting Confederate statues...?
3) Who is waving Confederate flags...?

That would be Republicans-Conservatives wouldn't it...

Would it not?
Is that not correct?

But they "never switched", right?

So tell me, the relevancy of the thread title as a mantra to deflect from the truth of the matter as it stands today, is what?
This is the main question (questions 1-3 are rhetorical as we all know the answer to them).

I'll be interested to hear what people think about this...

Also Mudpit because I reserve the right (pun intended) to throw dirt on your arguments.

Racism has no color, no race, no party, no nationality, no creed, no religion. Racism is evil wherever it is. Republican. Democrat. It ain't make no difference.

Damn, you practically killed the thread with your logic, mate.

I agree 100%!!!

It's just a way for them to shrug off their current 'sins', with past uglies.

Very transparent.

If we are pulling statues and flags,we need to pull the organisation that started the whole mess.

DNC is a hate based establishment, and is still run by hateful white folks

Answered your own question.

Anything to get the attention off the "right now" and put it back on the left/antifa/democracts/clinton/obama is fair game. Oh and Roosevelt, because of the klanbake he went to. Somehow, all those neat little factoids add up to whatever the klan does today, and where they fall on the political spectrum, as being irrelevant.

Then again, that refrain tends to come from the same folks that advance the notion that there is no extreme right, because whatever is on the extreme right is just a bunch of plants from the left and/or government.

Also: abortion. Can't leave that out. Because reasons.

Come to think of it, how many white Democrats actually marry a non white person?

You guys mastered deflection. It's an art. Truly.

In all these iterations, a simple substitution is in order.

Replace DEMOCRATS with SOUTHERNERS and the truth becomes clear.

Prior to 1970, it was, by and large, a regional matter. That's not to say there were no racists North or West ... but there was a concentration in the Southern States.

Now? It's pervasive ... North, South, East and West, within America and without.

How many People of Color did the DNC have running for President in the last election?

See. Historically, political parties were sharply divided by region of the country you lived in. North vs South. So there were two types of Republicans and two types of Democrats. The divisions in this country were more sharply geographical. Now each side has consolidated towards a political persuasion so the divides are along partisan lines, but the problem arises when people who are used to this being the political norm try to apply these political divisions to the past, and it doesn't work that way. Southern Democrats had sharply different beliefs than Northern Democrats, and the same held true for Republicans.

Before you drag this off topic, maybe you could answer the OP question.

To your point, the DNC doesn't decide until the convention, amarite?
So there was nothing stopping POC from putting their hat in the race.

What I love about this conundrum of shifting labels and affiliations is just how the whole equation is framed by ''either / or'' memetic conditioning. Good guys or bad guys. Round all those others up and put em in a camp with a quick label.
I'm getting dizzy.

Deflection is bringing up Repubs(which I am certainly not) in a DNC based thread.

We should take this hate we have towards one another and focus it on the true enemy.

Deflecting about Repubs is bad, but making grandiose strawmen about the Democrats is a-ok?

I'm all for ignoring the democrats ancient history.
It's irrelevant to today.
But I want the same standard applied to America's slavery ancient history.

Either forget all past sins or remember all past sins. No cherrypicking.

Actually no it's not a DNC based thread, unless you only read the title.

Which would be a shame, cos that's totally not denying ignorance, maaan!

Unless they already chose a candidate before the convention, and drown out support for the others in a documented conspiracy?
