The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center early Friday confirmed tsunami waves in Mexico, with the largest wave so far measuring 2.3 feet.

The U.S. Geological Survey said a magnitude 8.1 quake hit about 73 miles off Tres Picos, Mexico, along Mexico's southern coast.

Tsunami waves confirmed in Mexico, PTWC says

A tsunami is now confirmed. At least it is relatively small at 2.3 feet. I will be sending my prayers to our friends down South.

A warning for a 12ft one has been issued for the Phillippines 8500 miles away.. Not sure when that will hit. I would guess about 14 hours after the quake.
