Why are you surprised? Didn't he promise to expand military spending, invest a trillion in infrastructure, build a big ass wall, make sure everyone had access to healthcare, dump more money on border patrol, ICE, etc — and on top of everything else, cut taxes?

His budget proposal had a $2 trillion "mistake." Clearly he was writing checks that the federal coffers couldn't cash.
