It's wrong to make kids political footballs.

These DACA Kids did not wake up one morning,

and drag their parents across a International Border.

Besides, it only applies to pre 2007 immigrants.

Most of these DACA kids are now adults.

If these kids using DACA are criminals....Deport them today.

If they followed our Nations laws and continue to stay out of trouble.

I see no problem letting these law abiding kids stay.

I want controlled immigration.

I want people prosecuted for border hopping.

But, don't punish kids that have not done a single thing wrong.

The average age of a Dreamer is 25. This is a big Country.

We are going after the wrong people.

Let's throw out the 1 million plus criminal immigrants.

Not a single DACA kid should be deported until every single criminal is gone.

Yeah, and trump PROMISED them, that he was not going after the dreamers. That is a fact. He said it again and again, last year during his campaign and this year he has said it as well. Another lie.

Sounds like Americans in that age group should have no problem with finding a job then.

I know he is trying to force both sides to the table.

This looks cruel and unnecessary.

The "dreamers" have had 5 years now to legally work on their immigration status.

If in that 5 years they did nothing to legitimize their immigration status I have no sympathy.

I don't have any answers.

I just don't like our government messing up people's lives.

Especially hard working honest people...

Trump is smart enough to know our congress is completely inept and almost entirely corrupt. They (both 'parties') are not capable of drafting legislation to replace DACA in six months.

Congress is a scam, and Trump knows it.

How? he said he'll end the program, repeatedly.

The crime is that many of these DACA kids get their schooling with in-state tuition regardless of what school they go to unlike citizen children who are faced with in-state/out-of-state. And that is for kids who have no legal status to even be in this country.

But they get privilege for it.

Good point...

Even most DACA kids that would probably agree with you.

which part of "illegal" immigrant is hard to wrap our heads around?
think of all j the people who work hard to enter "legally" and can't because of an influx of "illegals". think of the resources going to the "illegal" immigrant that could be going to a struggling citizen... think about what if that "illegal" somehow committed a crime, now add other legal and police resources allocated to an "illegal" immigrant.

While I think repealing DACA is wrong, at the same time I believed it should be changed so they work for it.

Trump is not going to do anything...What Obama did was not really constitutional so Trump will remove Obama's executive order and give congress 6 months to fix this as they should have done in the first place. I think we need to stop blaming the White House for Congress failures.

Here is the Changes until Congress gets it fixed the right way.

We are no longer accepting initial requests for DACA, but we will adjudicate initial requests for DACA accepted by Sept. 5, 2017.

We will no longer approve advance parole requests associated with DACA.

We are only adjudicating DACA renewal requests received by Oct. 5, 2017, from current beneficiaries whose benefits will expire between Sept. 5, 2017 and March 5, 2018.

Why should illegal immigrants get to skip to the front of the immigration lines. People wait sometimes years to immigrate to this country to become productive members of our society ... legally. Those who are here illegally should be booted out. Many of these kids were sent here without parents, knowing that we had an obligation to keep them. Now hopefully we can send them back.

No free immigration or legal status for anyone until the border is secured. With a massive wall and platoons of border agents.

Only after that am I willing to discuss what to do with the illegal immigrants currently in the country.

Anything else just results in the exact same failed policies and promises that led us to this point.

DACA is an unconstitutional work around congress.

The "kids" average age is 26. At what point do these "dreamers" take responsibility and get the process done?

I understand the politics.

I just hate these kids believe Americans don't want them.

I just think it's bad form to involve kids.

Yeah and who's going to pay for that?

And as far as the rest, what part of "kids" is hard to understand?

Not all are 26. Where I live in LA, I know a lot that are under aged.

I agree we should remove those who have been leeching off the system and committing crimes.
