We all give up a lot to work and live in the US. It's not just you. I wonder if the founders ever thought we would give up pee to strangers to get a job.

If you think anything Trump has done is bad, what do you think of Hillary who has supplied terrorists with weapons? Condoned violence towards women and homosexuals? I'd rather have a president with an inane sense of humor than a president who gets in bed with people who value human life as much as they do the dirt they walk on.

Peeing for a job isnt a legal requirement. But i do thunk its a workers rights issue thatshould be changed. Especially random screening. What it says is ,"we are looking for reasons to fire you".

Employers don't need laws anymore. They have all the leverage. Your whole family in their hands. Missing a paycheck means missing half the rent for most people. That is not going to make America great again.

supply and demand. Industry drove the "everyone gets a job!!!" environment of the last 100 years. Now, industry has made humans somewhat obsolete. It'll only get worse. HR departments are being outsourced to data management companies that perform the work using automation (we are implementing an HRIS where I work). Points of human touch are becoming less and less as systems and infrastructure is more and more refined.

What will the next wave of jobs be? What will be the next engine to drive job growth? That is for the entrepreneurs to figure out, just like it always has been. If everyone is sitting home waiting for a job offer and not creating their own opportunities, there will never be another wave of jobs. We will just have current industry continue towards automation, making humans less and less useful when it comes to creating economic value.

Until there is more demand for human labor, the workers will have little to no leverage. If you want leverage....go create it. Revolutionize your own industry and save humanity. Its the way it is done.

It's funny and it's triggered ANTITA (anti-Trump Antagonists) here on ATS.

So a two-fer.

Shaking your head in embarrassment for our toddler president is hardly being "triggered".

Do you think this actually offends anybody here?

Apparently one. Judging by your inane immature response. Folks say that when upset , logic and intellect fail them.

and when it all falls apart, you will all still be here supporting him. This president is a joke to a majority of Americans according to every poll.

Same thing we all heard the morning of election day. Anything else you'd like to tell us?

Between Harvey, N. Korea, and everything else going on, the fact that Trump decided to retweet a meme is just mind boggling. The fact that he can send troops into harm's way and yet acts like a teenager is not very comforting.

Yeah, God forbid he takes 5 seconds out of his 24 hour day to retweet something. What's this world coming to.

Were you also in agreement with the MSM that he showed up in Houston too darn soon?

Excellent response to the witch - and yes it was a response. Her book has been reviewed by CNN (they bought an advance copy) and the witch spends page after page bashing Trump and smearing him. She is still crying after 9 months, just like her alt-left resistance. His response is short, sharp, and puts her in her place - again.

That's why countries will be forced into a socialistic economy and government. A universal income theory sounds about right when the producers are robots in the near future. No doubt the transition will be painful.

In YOUR near future everyone will be treated even more like just a number in a system and a mouth to feed.

Pass!

You are looking for structure and order in a system that cannot have it (at least not for long). Its actually a universal rule that systems will develop greater levels of entropy. All political systems will unravel to one degree or another, and will need constant replenishment from outside forces to maintain them.

Add to this that the resources on earth are finite. Human growth is not, but even more importantly....if it were we STILL wouldn't have enough to continue doing 1/10th the things we do. The only way out is up....

...which is that next revolution I referenced earlier. The majority of useful land on Earth is either used, unsable, or off limits/protected. We staved off the inevitable by creating the internet and making virtual real estate and virtual resources ("intellectual property"). But in the end it still relies on the values held in meatspace, and it just isn't enough property overall to provide what our growing population needs in terms of economy. So we will have to find new land to lay claim to and extract resources from. Its the only way the economy works.

I don't think we will shift from this concept. Its been with us since we first began to actually be human, with possessions equating weatlh, and equaling greatness in peoples minds. If we do, it would be the largest single shift in humanity since we invented the needle.

Besides...humans will never allow themselves to be "kept". Somewhere, someone will realize they can have a little bit more if they just (insert revolutionary idea here), and capitalism will see a rebirth. It may die quickly....but see the above explanation about entropy. Except in this case, it is accelerated by the human tendency towards vanity and the desire to hoard.

I won't be here when it happens. Nent bd I'll be 68.

And JAY1980.

And I don't think you know how the next generation will solve our societal and economic problems. I'm pretty sure logic dictates the future will be socialist if there are no jobs for humans.

Oh please, trash talking has been part of virtually all contests since time began. The meme is clever and witty and not in any way profane.
