Certain substances are legal there. You might or might not find that entertaining.

And there's also the dinosaur hotel, which is on my bucket list.

I already have a spot at the bar in Union Station scoped out.

With the Rocky Mountain oysters? I intend to try them. Hadn't made a list of potential eateries, though.

I'll settle for mixed nuts.

If you can deal with all the taxidermied trophies staring at you, I really like this place!

Never have tried those oysters though lol.

buckhorn.com...

Also The Fort serves up some good western fare just out of town, gorgeous views too!

Looks interesting! I like the recommendation! I take it I'm going to need to rent a car, though. I don't know what public transportation's like there and I'm not sure I want to be stuck waiting on Lyft or Uber.

hmmm.... Well, The Fort and other mountian/foothills fun would probably be off the table if you didn't rent a car, but if you are just considering a day or two, a rental car might not be necessary. I wouldn't exactly recommend the bus system to a visitor (although I would absolutely use it myself) but the light rail is good, and the city is not hard to access. Once you are downtown, you can get around by utilizing the public transportation or walk (downtown proper is not that big- most live in the sprawling suberbs).

Of course a car enables absolute freedom, and parking downtown is not so bad- this is probably the ideal way to go if you can.

A link to the public transportation site, where you can plug the starting and end point and get your route:

Hope that helps

I suppose it'll be easier to find folks at the Museum of Art. But the Denver museum of Natural History has dinosaurs... and mummies!!!!!!!!!

At this point my plans are still tentative - depends on how well I do at the convention next week (I'm not optimistic because of the schedule they've given me) but if I can come, part of Friday will be spent at the Museum of Natural History.

And I do want to stay at the dinosaur hotel (or at least dine there)

Dude.

I don't get sick. I joke around and everyone thinks it's because the airplane air I'm constantly breathing gave me super powers when I inform them it's from sucking the stem cells out of aborted fetuses.

The Museum of Nature and Science is a lot of fun... a Dead Sea Scroll exhibit that just rolled into town. I'd love to check that out.

Whatever happens, wishing you all the best next week!
