Oh gee really? I mean he was so so certain at the time he was wire-tapped.

There has never been any evidence to support Mr Trump's assertion on Twitter that "Obama had my 'wires tapped' in Trump Tower just before the victory", despite continued insistence from some conservative websites and commentators.

But in a court filing late on Friday, the Justice Department added itself to the list of entities debunking the allegation.

The FBI and the Justice Department's National Security Division "confirm that they have no records related to wire-taps as described" by tweets from Mr Trump posted on March 4, the department said in a court filing in Washington.

www.abc.net.au...

Shall we add the Justice Department to the list of conspirators? Them along with the FBI and all non-conservative media?

Trumps claim was was false right from the get go. What got me was the amount of threads on here trying everything possible to add at least some truth to what he was claiming. To this day his claims have never officially been confirmed. But you know what? He'll continue to lie and claim without merit and his supporters will do anything to protect him. Meanwhile we'll hear about the very bad 'main stream media' while people use partisan sources like Breitbart to confirm their biases.

Almost every "verbal" order has no paper trail.

And if any did exist, they were destroyed after Nov 8th.

"They" had plenty of time.

I don't think it matters anymore at this point, yes he did lie and it's bad that he did and shows his character but it has already served its purpose and his supporters have moved on completely. He didn't do anything illegal so there's nothing there either so I think it's a dead issue unfortunately.

Again , are we to blindly trust the very same agencies that are being investigated ? Or the ones that will be soon ?
Folks outside of this country evidently do....

In translation, "I have nothing to support Trump's claim that Trump Tower was wire tapped"

It's not hard to front up Xue. Who knows, it may do you some good and bring back down to earth.

Trump and his rightwing sources claimed Trump Tower was wire-tapped without any evidence what so ever. Why should I and others blindly trust him?

There's an onus on Trump and conservative media sources to front up the evidence. It's been months now. We have nothing. In the end you can dismiss every other agency and organization that has investigated this claim and it still wouldn't change the fact above.

Could be they used a FISA warrant "justified" by false "evidence".

All sealed up nice and tight too.

Waiting for the court "filings" to be published.

It seems to have worked for the Russia narrative.

Turnabout still fair play?

Could be. What about actual evidence instead of 'possibilities'? The United States is a country where justice is blind right? We are on ATS right? We deny ignorance? We look for evidence before we make a claim? We don't falsley arrest and jail others based on 'possibilities' or 'assumption' do we?

I'm sure you're capable of being a better person than that Xue.

How has it worked? Is Trump in handcuffs? Has been jailed? He and his administration?

Sounds like a bunch of hyperbole to counter the OP. The 'Russia' investigation is still ongoing.

Have you not noticed? Court of public opinion are have far more of a detrimental effect than handcuffs and indictments.

Actually, they are one in the same. Intel regarding Trump and Russians in Trump tower will fall under Muellers investigation and not be made public. Once said investigation is wrapped up, hopefully the truth of the matter will be revealed.

The OP has nothing to do with 'public opinion'. It has to do with an actual investigation that has yielded nil results in favour of Trumps claim

If you want to discuss public perception and opinion, a topic that can go on for hours, there's an opportunity for you to post a thread.

As stated, the 'Russia' investigation is still ongoing. Trumps wire-tapping claim has been exhaustively investigated and reviewed and has come up false.

Does it not bother you that Trump falsely accused somebody? You don't seem bothered at all. You seem to be focused on derailing discussion to hide this fact.

The fbi said the trump, Russia collusion didn't exist either.
