If Trump says he donated $1M then I'm sure he did. He's never done anything that would lead us to believe he lies. ANd besides, Miley Cyrus only gave $500K so he's twice the man Miley is.

Sadly though, her hands are twice the size of his.

Quandary.

And at the end of the day he's also the President. One of the largest metropolitan areas in the US is underwater. One of the busiest airports is shut diwn indefinitely. The largest port is crippled. A major blow has been struck to our trade and economy.

Sorry if I'm not impressed that the leader of our country said, "Oh look, Sandra Bullock donated a million dollars. I'll do the same. That'll fix things."

But if all he can do is give $1 million when he has the full might of the US Government behind him then he should be run out of office.

Congress has to approve relief funds.

well i can see why the bible says to be silent and unobtrusive when donating or helping the poor and to not let anyone know about it, hypocrites always like to judge and nothing is ever enough for them, just because someone gives more doesn't mean they are a better person or even a good person. some people just need to accept it for what it is and quit whining like spoiled brats.

one million can easily feed, shelter and clothe a few thousand people...

Nice gesture.

So, 0.01% of his supposed net worth, or the same as a millionaire donating $100. But, hey, saul goodman!

I'd also be curious to know what his history of personal charitable donations for disaster relief is, too.

Oh, and btw, it's not a sure thing that it's not from his foundation - SHS said she would *assume* it's a personal donation.

And yet it was a crap ton of money to inherit!

You guys are predictable.

Typical liberals, you give a million but to them it is never enough. He could have given 49% of his net worth and they would complain it was not 51%
I actually saw a cnn article about the controversy of him and Melania's baseball hats they wore.

The airports opened yesterday afternoon.

That's because they do it without announcing it or bragging about it.

Funny people forget he was there after Matthew with Pence distributing their donations.

A photo OP was all that was. I'm so sure those kids needed play dough and stuffed animals when they had no clean clothes.

Did you donate anything?

Screw Texas. Everytime they get their panties in a bunch they cry break off from America and become their own state. So let's give them a taste of what it's like on their own.

So, what you're saying is they did things politicians do? The kinds of things that make people feel good at the moment but have no lasting effect?

I'm GLAD he's not a politician!

To some degree you are right, but to the people enduring the suffering at the scene, the commander in chief's actual presence was most likely welcomed and of value, no?

Look, I was just responding to another poster's pugilistic comparison *, and I acknowledged Pres Trump's good will.

Just trying to maintain some balance friend.

Technically the State of Texas is not a member of the Union of States.
They voted against the joining of the US of A which at that point meant legally they didnt join . The State of Texas was "confiscated" into the Union...
Of course , you wouldnt have known that....

I'm not bashing, just curious, how much has Obama or the Clinton's given? Or Bush who is a Texas guy? Trump is mostly a good person, though obviously not perfect. For some, nothing he does will ever be good enough, because he's not a liberal.

One million Dollars..of his own money....to make Texas Great Again.
...I await the comments.

1 million dollars from Trump, is like 1 dollar from most of the rest of us.

Now, if Trump gave 10% of his wealth, which would be 1 Billion Dollars, seeing that he says he is worth $10 Billion, then we'd have something remarkable to report.

LOL
Went the last time you gave 10% of your wage or wealth
your a total BS

This is absolutely true. It's not how much you give, it's what percentage of what you have you give.

Jesus gave up his whole life for mankind.

A poor man giving $1, actually gives more than a rich man donating $1 million. That's because the poor man needed that $1 more than the rich man needed his $1 million.

Unfortunately, this happens all the time, whether I like it or not. Taxes take more than 10% of what I earn every-time, even before I get to think about what and who to donate to.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but don't you usually defend socialist policies and big government? The only way to enact big government policies is to steal from citizens. You can't support socialism and then complain about taxes. If I'm confusing you with someone else, my apologies.

And The Obama Family ?

And the Clinton Family ?

How 'bout the Bush Family ?

A difference to consider is the past presidents showed genuine empathy, addressed the victims directly, called for donations and actually went to the scene and communed with the people.
Link
So your comment is a little smearish imo.

All of them? Every single victim? Or just the ones that they chose to sound 'empathic'?
