Nah. I don't spent a lot of time on countering specious arguments these days.

Or in socialist speak, there is none.

Bacause they have no safety net. Which is a socialist policy.

The problem, which may are not be at the root of the apparent dishonesty here, is that the term "welfare state" doesn't merely connote "a state in which there are Welfare programs."

The US Constitution speaks of our government's responsibilities toward the "general welfare."

Welfare in the actual meaning of the term means "well-being" not "handouts."

Most of the "Western democracies" are and have been welfare states, some from their inception.

Although none have been purely or even nearly "capitalist."

I think you will find that your "theory" lacks stats or evidence. The majority of people I know supporting done variety of more left ideals are gainfully employed, often highly educated.a reply to: toysforadults

You're talking about capitalist countries. Why won't you talk about socialist ones?

Yes.

And that there isn't a switch that turns a country from socialist to capitalist accept by a dictator. They are all mixes of both.

There are policies that people label as socialist.
They all have different benefits and dangers.

Showing that you have no evidence to back up your less-than-well-thought-out claim is not a tautology. Do you even know the words you use?

The USSR and Maoist China were both totalitarian and incorporated some forms of socialism.

The US and western democracies are nominally democratic republics and incorporate some forms of socialism.

The thought of some doesn't go very far beyond those basic premises.

Fingers in ears, as usual. Scared to confront reality once again, so you retreat back into your fantasies.

Of course it is. This isn't any debate, and everything you've said is bereft of argument and evidence. In those conditions I reserve the right to make fun of your behavior.
