A summary might be interesting here, if you care to give one.

Me? Blank refusal is a real piece of work, I can tell you that. And since I'm not the fastest painter, things would be way more smooth without all this red tape madness in a friggin German Jobcenter. Writing a book instead, that would be awesome!

The interesting thing about a guaranteed minimum income is that it would go immediately back into the local economy at 100%.

On the national scale that would go infinitely further to increase the volume of the economy than subsidizing billions in corporate profits.

More to the point:

They find that enacting any of these policies by growing the federal debt — that is, without raising taxes to pay for it — would substantially grow the economy. The effect fades away within eight years, but GDP is left permanently higher. The big, $12,000 per year per adult policy, they find, would permanently grow the economy by 12.56 to 13.10 percent — or about $2.5 trillion come 2025. It would also, they find, increase the percentage of Americans with jobs by about 2 percent, and expand the labor force to the tune of 4.5 to 4.7 million people.

Study: a universal basic income would grow the economy

From todays edition of Vox, that was creepy in a good way. Funny that you should mention that!

Have you read/watched any of Curtis' work

Mindblowing stuff! "Century of the Self" is a great addition to HyperNormalisation. I always suspected that advertisement is fcked up but man... MKULtras forerunner, with E. Bernays leading the pack, is a whole other nut to crack. Oh Dearism is quite on the point with regards to our topic, too. That guy really needs to make a few more documentaries.

Socialist Workers Party in the UK bully a rape victim

Corrupt asshats like that are relics of the past and I don't think they've realized that yet. The party "Die Linke" looks like controlled opposition to me by now, especially since they don't support the UI cuz... wait for it... neolibs and neocon scumbags like the concept, too!
It's like watching Kindergarten dialectics... when my enemy likes something it simply has to be bad. BAD! Fine, someone get em gold shovels. But where is my direct democracy when I need one?

Anyway. Thanks for all the replies, guys! It is most appreciated, have a piece of Pie...

When is the last time we saw economic growth approaching double digits? The 1960s or 70s?
