while i dont think floyd will ever go to the ufc(and i dont think he should) i think before he fights conor he should have to get through Joanna first.

thats the fight i want to see

joanna vs foyd mma rules

total floyd destruction and it would be great

and while we are at it lets get some more destruction

claudia gadelha vs lomachenko in mma rules

thats the kind of # i want to see if any boxers decide to cross over

i want people to be shown proof that a well rounded mma fighter is superior than a high level boxer. i figured if this was done with women it will drive the point home.

how sweet would it be to see joanna plum floyd and just destroy him with knees?
or to see claudia double leg lomachenko like he aint # and then dismantle him?

i would kind of like to see that myself

Theres nothing to prove...

A well rounded MMA fighter wouldn't stand a chance in the boxing ring against a pro....

and a Pro boxer doesn't stand a chance in the octagon

again... this is what these threads are about

Boxing Isn't MMA

So it never happens but it just did.

In boxing you can avoid other top ranked opponents for ever if you want. There isn't a real bracket either. It's nothing like amateur boxing with actual rankings based on a bracket.

Any "sport" with a matchmaker isn't a real competition. The ufc followed boxing.

Well no it didn't... Mayweather isn't ranked anymore... he retired

IF magregor actually fought a ranked fighter he would have gotten hurt badly

Just as if mayweather actually decided to enter UFC... he'd die

That wasn't a real boxing match... it was an overhyped fight that brought in spectators

in other words

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Sure. It was. But conor could fight a ranked fighter and not be hurt your being silly.

The Diaz Bros could enter the middle rankings and do fine.

Can't think of a boxer that can do the same in mma. Even kick boxers get schooled without defensive grappling.

You like boxing so do I. I enjoy the sport. But conor did pretty good for a rook. He could certainly box pro. He has plenty of money to get the best training science can offer

Yet Andre ward calls the Diaz Bros to spar regularly and has said they would do well in boxing. Hmm.

Here is amir khan saying the same of the Diaz Bros.

I disagree... he would likely be knocked out in the first few rounds

mayweather wasn't trying to hurt him... he won the fight before it started

IF he stepped into the ring with a ranked boxer it wouldn't last long...

Fighters at the top are out to destroy you... not dance around for the show

Thats why i keep saying it wasn't a real fight

So you have never seen Floyd fight I guess. Or ward for that matter.

I guess you don't know much about boxing and defensive fighters.

Floyd was literally stunned with uppercuts then decided to slow the pace moving forward. McGregor would do fine starting out like any other pro.

The Diaz Bros could jump into the mix of mid tier guys and start rolling.

I think he had a chance like any fight but of coarse not. I just think he did and looked pretty good considering he is a rookie. He kept his nerves down and actually didn't blow his wad in round one.

I also am saying nate and nick diaz could box pro. Today and do well. Here is yet another pro sparring partner saying the same.

Even IF the diaz boys decided to start a boxing career they wouldn't just start on the pro level

a big name doesn't just make the professional cut in boxing

Sure maybe they could box.... but just like the rest they would have to earn their place in the pro ranks

There is no real ranking. That is why there are matchmakers. At the beginning you get ranked for safety that is it. They already have a few fights in boxing and train with literally the best strikers in the world. Whether Joe shilling, Andre ward, omar, etc. The athletic commision already recognizes them as capable boxers. Even used them to approve Conor.

Take a good look brother

wbcboxing.com...

From fly weight to heavy... and thats just the WBC ranking

and theres a few world rankings

They wouldn't start in any of those divisions in their weight class because theres hundreds of fighters trying to get on the bottom rung of the ladder... they would have to work their way though just like everyone else

Dude I have been a wrestling coach for two decades. For 5 or so years in an mma gym with top level ranked boxers.

There is one belt worth a damn. The rings mag belt. Every other belt is political and pay to play. Not against the top ranked fighters. That is reality.

Since the belts you mentioned are pay to play my guess is it could happen.

The other is it would take about half a dozen fights. Same as anybody in the ufc.

Ps and here is the ufc version of bs

m.ufc.com...

Why won't those belts use brackets. Uhh cause its all about money.

When did i say anything about a belt?

i said there are ranked boxers in various world boxing associations

You said theres no ranking system... and that is just incorrect

Sure theres lots of belts... and boxing has always been corrupt

the diaz boys would have to actually win a lot of fights just to be recognized.... let alone be in any world ranking

No that isn't how it works. You get matched against other fighters. So you match a second to third fight with higher and higher ranked fighters.

My guess is boxing is so hurting for money they would allow nate to skip the line. Except for the rings belt.

They don't just toss someone who's never had a professional fight into the ring against a ranked fighter lol

just like the "match makers" would not let someone thats at the bottom of the list fight one of the top tier fighters

some jump up fast because of what they do in the ring...

And while its true boxing isn't as popular as it once was... the diaz boys would have to prove they can cut it before fighting at the professional level.

Right. So in your opinion a broke ranked fighter wouldn't take a fight with nate? Uh how about they already are callin him out and he trains with pros regularly.

Sorry man boxing is in serious financial trouble. The pay to play belts and leagues would let him in.

You have no idea how it works in reality. It's always about the money. It would take a guy who has a name like nate six wins or less to be fighting huge fights. If not right off the bat.

Yeah i know how it works... and ya its all about the money

They would have to get past their first fight before anything happened

We Just saw what happens when the UFC champ fights a retired pro boxer

So again... they would have to prove they can fight at that level before even one ranked fight happened

You're just arguing for the sake or argument here lol

Not really I am saying pro boxers. Probably one of the best ever in Ward says they can do it. Amir Khan, come on man your the one arguing for no reason just admit it's highly likely these guys since they spar with literally the best kick boxers and boxers in the world would handle pro boxing just fine.

Dude they can box and in the hypothetical you pointed out they would do fine. Would win and lose but do well in boxing right now. Conor isn't a boxer. But several if fighters could transfer. And one was a title holder herself. But she had to work on other things to get to the ufc.
