Or it's the exact opposite. The original timeline could've been way worse but this is the improved and sanitized version. Think about all of the great scientific discoveries that happened by chance or accident, like penicillin or the others on this list (HERE).

Perhaps the time travel technology is limited and only allows the traveler a short period of time to work with. These "accidental" scientific discoveries could've been the result of limited time travel (as in the traveler only had time to contaminate the petri dishes with penicillin before being sucked back to their time). I'm not saying this did or didn't happen; just saying we'd have to keep open minds about the possible ramifications of time travel.

We are all time travelers, at the pace of time. If it were possible to effect the past the future would have done that already.

So there are limits over there, too.

I always dreamt of having a time-transferring hard disk drive. Imagine being able to write data into a directory with a time-stamp and it would be instantly accessible to the owner at that past time. Maybe if you had quantum bits that were isolated from the present starting at some point, they could only be affected by the future.

For any time travelers. Please go back in time. Tell the world in all languages not to expirement, war, create giant destructive weapons, not to become psychotic or calculated tyrants or dictators. To not pervert their simple understanding of life living off the naturaly growing land.

Living off the naturally growing land was learnt how exactly?

Did early humans maybe experiment with different ways to cultivate crops until they found a way that suits?

So how would it benefit humanity to go back and stop us evolving into who we are today?

Tell them absolute destruction will occur if they do not respect their beings, minds, families, tribes.

So go back in time, stop humanity from moving forward and lie to them.

Be glad im not in power.

Time travel is not for humans.....with only being able to access 10% of our brains.....We don't have the brain capacity to understand and then deal with all the possible scenarios that go along with traversing time & space.......it would simply be like magic to our lil primitive brains. Insanity would be sure to follow.

To say such a thing requires knowledge of traversing space and time and the effects it would have on the human mind.

Star Trek (Org series) had an episode about that.

As far as a device that can transcend time, you already have that, your soul.

I think time travel takes you down a very similar timeline but in one of the infinite timelines and not the exact same one.. so you will change history but not in your original timeline.. i need a sit down now...
