It's absurd, and yes he got called out as a Uncle Tom. The Root wrote an article heavily criticizing him for this and for daring to say that black culture isn't a monolith. At this point, we have come full circle. When I first studied social justice 10-15 years ago, major principles were that no race, gender, etc, should ever be stereotyped or "essentialized," which means treating them as a monolithic entity. Now we are essentializing everyone and it's great.

I had to turn off my FB again. My FB friend update page reads like a constant flow of this stuff and related posts.. For example, two of my black contacts writing on black defectors from the identity politics dogma and how "the coon train is getting long," a reference again to Uncle Tom's.

The root is a completely racist website, to be honest. I like to visit kotaku to keep up on my gaming news, but every so often I fall for the click-baits they have on the side. Whenever I read articles on the root, I tend to look at the comments, and wow, talk about bad reverse racism. They even put down white people who are on their side. It's sad to see people being just as racist as the people they're mad at, almost like they feel everyone deserves it because they had to go through it.

I went through it myself, and yet even I have figured out that you don't stop racism by being racist yourself.
