You can ask it who is the fairest of them all?
But an answer is never heard, not even the slightest echo.
It simply just reflects, what appears.
No matter what is there, non-judgementaly
it reflects back to the appearance what is there.
You can get angry, that's fine.
you can pull ugly faces that fine.
Smile for hours, that is fine too.
If nothing appears, it stands faithfully.
it offers no opposition at all.
it's like a piece of paper ready for your every scribble.
Nothing old remains, nor can the future be seen.
there is nothing, quite like the mirror.
Reminds me of God,
it's always up to you.

A poet who wrote for the ages
would fill up with wisdom the pages
of tomes so sublime
in brief meter and rhyme
and then he would ask for his wages.
