If your mind were a little more open, I would explain the fallacies of your thought processes.

Since you think I'm farming Stars in this thread, I'll leave it to you. Farm away.

Walks off wondering how Snarl was able to accumulate more Flags on a thread he didn't create.

Not only were all of Obama's pardonees sentenced and served the recommended time, they all admitted to their guilt. Arpaio hasn't admitted guilt or shown remorse. Not one of the people that Obama pardoned were convicted of blatantly refusing to honor or acknowledge of the authority of the Federal Courts.

Obama never used his pardon power to rally his base during campaign rallies to further his political career and agenda. Obama never used his pardon powers to divide the unity of our nation. Obama never used his pardon powers to usurp the Judicial Branch of the government. Not once did Obama ever use his pardon powers to obstruct justice in order to sabotage federal investigations looking into his own scandals.

How is this obstructing justice when it is a presidential power? The president can legally grant pardons to even mass murdering serial killing baby eating child rapist terrorist if he wanted too and it is still within his right to do so.
We are a nation of laws, and you are pissing on a Lawful order.

I don't think you're "farming stars". I think the stars your opinions garner reflect agreement among other ATS members. But, I don't think your "talk" would be as receptive in in a casual social setting in the real world. You know, lauding the torture, murder and rape of Latinos, who may or may not be here legally, after rounding them up, placing them for indefinite periods of time in inhumane desert concentration camp tenet cities.

Your Avatar says how you feel about those whose opinions vary from yours.

The President of the United States just pissed on the Judicial Branch of the government, the US Constitution, on Latinos and on good cops everywhere across the nation! He sent a message that if his allies piss on lawful orders from Federal Courts, he will pardon them.

Apario uses the constitution as toliet paper as well in regards to due process, a right that should be vehemently protected for all.

The courts aren't in a position to uphold the Constitution when they can't even get due process completed within six months as stated by law. We have too many crooks (not just illegal immigrants) on the streets for years and years before we can get them in a courtroom to begin with.

The fact that we have folks defending a serial criminal and genuine "tyrant" in Arpaio by invoking the Rule of Law shows just how far the authoritarian cancer has spread.

The legal latinos cannot stand the illegal ones, many of whom come to the US not to settle but to sell drugs and poison communities.

Manning committed treason HE SHOULD HAVE ATE A HORIZONTAL 21 GUN F*** YOU (you know like a 21 gun salute only in reverse aka the only sendoff traitors ever deserve especially ones stupid enough to betray us while having voluntarily subjected themselves to the UCMJ!)

Arpaio "violated" rulings that are frankly illegal and therefore null and void... Anyone who can't see the difference, is a liar for one and stupid for two.

Pro tip: if you're here illegally, you have no rights except what we CHOOSE to allow you and that's 100% ok and even PROPER!

If a country is not allowed to assure the sanctity of it's borders then it ceases to be worth supporting or pretending to follow the laws they ask you as a citizen to live by!

It's a violation of the social contract and nothing good has or ever will come of such idiocy!

Being against illegal immigration does not make you a racist it makes you against illegal immigration.

So you get to pick what laws are just and which aren't.

There's a term for that: anarchy.

Really? According to many Americans and people across the globe, Bradley Manning was a hero! Trump sure does love his WikiLeaks, an outlet that was created because of Bradley Manning. According to the Federalist Papers, Presidential Pardon power specifically delineate "treason". All Confederate soldiers were guilty of treason against the US, but all Confederate soldiers were pardoned by the President.

Arpaio "violated" rulings that are frankly illegal and therefore null and void... Anyone who can't see the difference, is a liar for one and stupid for two.

Arpaio violated his oath to uphold the Constitution and the trust given him by his constituents. He violated the Constitutional rights and human rights of his detainees. He was ordered by a judge to stop violating the Constitution and when he refused, he was convicted of Contempt.

Arpaio is as guilty as the inmates he was charged with overseeing. He's a despicable criminal, and no pardon will remove the stain of his guilt.

Well, that's what you were sold, at least.

Think it through. When cheaper labor is gone, you really think that those who have grown accustomed to big profits will let them go? Do you understand the basis of capitalism?

The jobs that are now "here" will go "there." See the concept of "outsourcing" for more details. Mr. Trump's a master at it.

This isn't about abortion or Mexicans or illegal immigrants. It's about respecting the Constitution and the constitutional and human rights of others. It's about respecting the law and the American judicial system. This respect goes to the very core of democracy.

Abortion is their go to when they lose the argument. It's attacks against women's rights and people of color that gets their juices flowing.
