well, it's well within the president's right to pardon whoever he deems worthy.

i don't agree with the decision to pardon arpaio but i support the president's use of his constitutional right to grant the pardon.

Hopefully Trump frees some mass murderers, serial killers, or pedophiles next. Then we can really have some good conversations on the net.

No doubt. I predict next up, Paul Manafort then Flynn. Then he'll give pardon's to Don Jr and Jared Kushner.

......Then, using his pardon powers to obstruct justice will be added to the list of allegations in the next round of Articles of Impeachment.

You are so full of lopsided hatred, it seeps out of every post you make.

Eric Holder should have done time for Contempt of Congress, but our racist-in-chief at the time, Obama, used his Executive Privilege to prevent it.

See? It works both ways.

Was Holder tried and convicted like Nazi Joe? So you want Holder to be held accountable but not this Nazi? But then again Joey is white so he is given a free pass.

Anyone refusing to talk to Federal Grand Jury, and charged with contempt can be pardoned. That's one of the signals being sent to witnesses of Trump collusion with Russia.

On another note:
Marc Rich had some heavy duty advocates:

Clinton also cited clemency pleas he had received from Israeli government officials, including then-Prime Minister Ehud Barak. Rich had made substantial donations to Israeli charitable foundations over the years, and many senior Israeli officials, such as Shimon Peres and Ehud Olmert, argued on his behalf behind the scenes.[26] Speculation about another rationale for Rich's pardon involved his alleged involvement with the Israeli intelligence community.[27][28] Rich reluctantly acknowledged in interviews with his biographer, Daniel Ammann, that he had assisted the Mossad, Israel’s intelligence service,[4][13] a claim that Ammann said was confirmed by a former Israeli intelligence officer.[12] According to Ammann, Rich had helped finance the Mossad's operations and had supplied Israel with strategic amounts of Iranian oil through a secret oil pipeline.[4] The aide to Rich who had persuaded Denise Rich to personally ask President Clinton to review Rich's pardon request was a former chief of the Mossad, Avner Azulay.[22][29] Another former Mossad chief, Shabtai Shavit, had also urged Clinton to pardon Rich,[30] whom he said had routinely allowed intelligence agents to use his offices around the world.[17]

Maybe Kushner will come back from his Mideast trip with a list of names from Bibi. Kushner's business partner, wanted in several countries, may be smuggled out of Israeli jail and come to America.

He treated them just like the rest of the criminals.

He imprisoned people without due process for no reason and treated them as subhuman.

Reminder; some of these people weren't convicted criminals, some weren't even charged with a crime, they were detained by Arpaio and his men for no reason. Some people died awaiting trial, some people were severely injured by Maricopa County Sheriff's Office before their trials.

He violated people's constitutional rights on a regular basis and cost taxpayers millions of dollars because of it. They weren't just illegal immigrants but American citizens and legal immigrants. Held without trial or charge in torturous and inhumane conditions on a regular basis.

On top of all that 75% of sex crimes reported to the sheriff's office were cleared (marked as solved) with no arrests made. Rapes, child molestations, all just ignored because the sheriff's office was too busy arresting brown people.

Again, he violated the constitutional rights of lots and lots of people and was found guilty of such. His punishment? The county had to pay millions of dollars, never Arpaio himself.

On top of all that Trump did this with no input from the Justice Department. Trump is acting like a tyrant.

God does not let racist people into Heaven?

It's going to be really funny come judgment day when you're in hell for eternal life with Adolf Hitler, Idi Amin, a million African head hunters, a couple of hundred thousand Isis fighters, and thousands of gangsters, killers, Pedafile, and rapist of men and woman from the span of 4million years.

'Jesus died for your sins not for you to sin'

Greatest secret ever told.

Only for those that have had a Déjà vu will understand this.

You mortals are really the walking dead..literally.

God has bestowed your life once again in your eyes so that you can relive why his decision on judgment day was law and why the gates didn't open..and why he sent you all straight to Hell.

Enjoy your flesh for the maximum of 70 years and enjoy eternal life as your God chose fit.The heavens are laughing at you all.

Ah yes. Stoop to the "Nazi Joe" name calling. When the left don't have any valid points to make, they pull out the "Nazi" card.

Not true. I live in Phoenix and people were pretty upset about the rapes going in-investigated while Sheriff Joe and his posse were pulling over brown skinned folks to see if they had their papers. He cost Maricopa County a ton in taxpayer dollars to defend him, which really pissed a lot of people off.

These are the reasons we fired him and voted in Paul Penzone.

Really?

Judge backs county inmates in jail case

A federal judge has sided with inmates' claims that conditions in Maricopa County jails continue to violate their constitutional rights.

...

Maricopa County sheriff's officials said they plan to comply with the judge's orders.

Judge: County failed to improve jails' medical, mental-health conditions

Wake issued a landmark ruling in October 2008 that found conditions in the jails failed to meet constitutional standards in key areas, including the quality of food, inmate access to recreation areas, temperatures in which inmates taking psychiatric medication are held, and the quality and availability of medical and mental-health care.

Graves, et al. v. Arpaio, et al. - Opinion

Arpaio routinely abused pre-trial detainees at Maricopa County Jail by feeding them moldy bread, rotten fruit and other contaminated food, housing them in cells so hot as to endanger their health, denying them care for serious medical and mental health needs and keeping them packed as tightly as sardines in holding cells for days at a time during intake.

Key evidence in Maricopa County Jail death suit of Deborah Braillard 'destroyed'

A Valley daughter who fought for seven years to get justice for her dead mother has won a multi-million dollar settlement from Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Taxpayers will to have to fork over $3.25 million after attorneys for Arpaio, MCSO and the county chose to settle another jail death lawsuit.

Joe Assumes Deposition

Eric Johnson, like 70 percent of Arpaio's prisoners, was a pretrial detainee. He had been picked up by Phoenix police on a warrant for a suspended driver's license. While being transported within Madison Street Jail, however, Johnson had missed a meal and was hungry and irritated. He banged on his cell door repeatedly. When a detention officer passed his cell, Johnson asked: "Can I get a sandwich?" and added, "Yeah, I'm talking to you, asshole."

Three detention officers--Benny Cluff, Rod Douglas and Sergeant Paul Rogers--responded by pulling Johnson from the cell, slamming him headfirst into a wall, stun-gunning him and turning his arm up behind his back. All of it was captured on videotape.

Many MCSO cases solved without arrests

MCSO's statistics show that in 2006 and 2007 the latest figures available the department cleared without arrest 79 and 89 percent of cases, respectively. 12 News examined statistics from Scottsdale, Phoenix, Glendale and Mesa police departments and found that none had a rate of higher than 25 percent.

REASONABLE DOUBT: Public pays the price

Employees were preparing to close the 99 Cent Discount Store in El Mirage on Aug. 20, 2006, when a teenage girl ran inside.

Agitated and refusing to leave, the 15-year-old girl told the store's manager that two men had just raped her in a ditch outside, a police report says.

...

The MCSO closed the case a month later by designating it "exceptionally cleared," which is supposed to be applied to cases where a suspect is known and there's enough evidence to make an arrest but circumstances prevent an arrest. That designation allows the MCSO to count the case in the same reporting category as investigations that end in arrest.

But in this case, the detectives didn't have a suspect and appear to have done no work on the case.

Critics: 'Tough' sheriff botched sex-crime cases

Both cases were among more than 400 sex-crimes reported to Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio's office during a three-year period ending in 2007 -- including dozens of alleged child molestations -- that were inadequately investigated and in some instances were not worked at all, according to current and former police officers familiar with the cases.

In El Mirage alone, where Arpaio's office was providing contract police services, officials discovered at least 32 reported child molestations -- with victims as young as 2 years old -- where the sheriff's office failed to follow through, even though suspects were known in all but six cases.

Many of the victims, said a retired El Mirage police official who reviewed the files, were children of illegal immigrants.

It goes on and on and on from his staged assassination to misuse of election funds to abuse of power. Of all the people that supporters of 'law and order' should look up to, Joe Arpaio is not one of them.

Edit: Some of the links aren't working properly on ATS but a quick Google search of the titles should lead you to them.

$148 million dollars in tax payer settlements to dead inmate's family members says it's not false, misleading or embellished. The actual details that have emerged from the case files stories reveal just how evil Joe Arpaio really is. Wait, Do People Actually Know Just How Evil This Man Is?

Does this mean you are against Joe's pardon as well as illegal immigration?

I mean, you have to be against both or you are a total hypocrite.

Isn't that how it works?

Thanks.

I see how it works.

If he pardons Joe, he should pardon all illegals.

Do you see how it works?
Nice job refusing to answer his question. Law doesn't state Trump must pardon everyone so sorry your analogy fails.

Excellent move. This needed to happen! The man upheld the law, and was attacked for doing so.

He's a racist pig who thought he was above the law and thanks to our racist in chief yet another racist is free to roam the streets.

You used the word "racist" three times, in one short post.

Triggered much?

No, he's an American, who did his job, within the law, even though some judge told him not to, illegally. He's an actual American, unlike the people crying and screaming about the President Trump winning, illegals being arrested, the economy improving, white people, etc. He committed no actual crime. Calling him names won't change that.

The law doesn't state he must pardon anyone at all, it's the principle of the matter and the hypocrisy involved.

Like I said, you can't pick and choose the illegal activity you support.

But, oh well. I don't expect some people to understand.
