Mainly an issue because...

1. This was the first lie as president (certainly not as a civilian) in a long line of lies, exaggerations, retweets of fake news stories, and misdirects

2. If there is anything so far to be taken from Trump's entire presidency, it the constant whining about the media and how bummed he is that they re-air and then discuss the idiocy that he spouts daily (I'm actually a tad surprised that he's slamming the media... they made him who he is with the constant broadcasting of his inanity that rallied the blind faithful).

Lol, look at how cute you are trying to trigger people over something that is a nothing.

Seems to be working.

But yeah, keep telling yourself how great it was, how big the crowds are, etc. etc.

He won by our process that has been in place for a couple of hundred years. This is all there is to this. The popular votes doesn't count...never has....

It seems only the left can not let any of this go...It was great only due to the fact that Hillary lost.

Eight effing months ago.

Not an issue in August of 2017.

Yet, you're still obsessing over it?

Weird.

I was not able to watch the entire rally last night, but didn't he even mention the inauguration crowd size in AZ? Or am I mistaken?

I haven't heard anything about that. I saw a sample of an ad from Craigslist supposedly hiring attendees ... and I saw some fake photos of large crows tweeted by Trump supporters (that weren't from last night and weren't from Phoenix) ... but I don't know what he said.

I can't listen to the man anymore.

I could have sworn I read somewhere he mentioned it.

I may be wrong.

I'll take a look.

Just perused the transcript of his speech and I think I was wrong.

Didn't see it mentioned.

My bad.

Right ... so now it's back to "the popular vote doesn't count."

The popular vote doesn't elect the President ... but it certainly does count. It tells us what most Americans wanted and what they didn't want.

Interestingly though, Trump (and many of you on this site) didn't think so highly of the Electoral College in 2012 now, didya?

All of Hollywood, 90% of the media, 50% of the country is highly triggered since they were told for years that Hillary will win are all against him since 30 seconds after he hit 270 votes. That is a lot of power and money out to get him anyway they can.

Just with the Harvard study alone that 93% of CNNs news is negative Trump stories is proof that there has been a on going campaign to get him on a scale never seen before.

Jeez, we're on one big loop I guess? This subject has been hashed over and rehashed on this site, give it a rest.

Well, Trump attacking the Media and claiming they are "Fake News" is still very relevant since Trump just went on an unhinged rant last night at a rally about the Media.

So I thought we should take the news stories one by one that Trump claims are "Fake News". This is the first one...and it seems that Trump was wrong and continues to lie about it.

So I wonder how many other "Fake News" stories claimed by Trump actually aren't fake at all????

Let me spare you a lot of time and posting. They all lie, Left, Right, it doesn't matter. The media and politicians ALL embellish the facts. There is no such thing as non biased news anymore and if you can find a honest politician, it's because they've yet to step foot in Washington. Why dwell on this kind of BS? Some of us want to move forward.

He did talk about the crowd size at that rally and at the rally he had at the same place early in his candidacy...although he incorrectly said it was the location of his first every political rally, his first rally was in New Hampshire. You would think that would be something someone would remember.

He also tried to claim the crowd of protesters outside the venue was small group...when in fact it was thousands of people.

You know, just the typical lies from Trump.

Ah well. Even if it wasn't in the transcript, he probably did mention it at some point, yesterday...and probably the day before too.

I don't think I really cared one way or the other. I have always seen it as our process and so be it with only recently the left's outcry of not winning.

I don't really remember anything about you personally, I shouldn't have phrased it that way.

There were many who were against Obama in 2012 particularly who complained about the Electoral College and made noises about getting rid of it, and Donald Trump was one of those people.

Yeah, yeah ... the "left's outcry" is merely pointing out that 2.8 million more Americans voted for Clinton.

That fact really triggers some folks it seems.

Thank you for bringing it up and I don't care who is at the helm, they should always be accounted for their lies, and right now it's Pres Trump. The blatant ego-fueled lies are just silly, particularly when exclaimed with such confidence.

Apologists amaze me, as in a true apologists will accept no wrong from their figure head, and that boggles my mind coming from intelligent people, especially when the denial becomes a wedge between friends, family, co-workers, countrymen etc..

I look forward to your other threads.

You all still have this weird alt-narrative that the populace on the left wanted Hillary to win. Don't you remember you could count Hillary supporters on one hand here at ATS? As for celebrities, it was a small handful as you well know. Most everyone was for Sanders (including Hollywood... I'm surprised you missed this, they were rather vocal about it). Yes, we felt duped by the outcome of the Democratic nominee. I'd rather not have had a republican-lite candidate attempting to represent the option the left had. But in the end, kicking the can down the road with Hillary was better than kicking it off the cliff with Trump. Barely anyone wanted Hillary and barely anyone here defends her. This is a false narrative that you all on the right keep on with... speaking of facts.

You just can't seem to commit to a side on this issue.

Was Trump's Inauguration crowd size the largest in history at 1-1.5 million people???

It's not a hard question...unless you are dancing around it for some reason.

It wasn't so what is your point? He said it LOOKED like 1 to 1.5 million... is that a lie or a personal perspective. You have yet to answered a single point of mine. He barely won an election that he should have lost in the landslide except for he was the lessor of two evils.

As I said Trump is a showman who feels the need to spin the best perspective he can with the huge amount of negative forces that are preventing him from achieving his agendas.

So if he said..it was huge....really really big...looked like 1 to 1.5 million... is all just his on going showmanship that you can agree with or not.

One other poster asked the question is if you had no problem with the lying Obama why now with the lying Trump...lol

Not to mention that some of the folks that voted Clinton were voting AGAINST Trump.

I've voted "against" a candidate in just about every Presidential election.

Obama won the popular vote in 2012 too, so I'm not sure how Trump's Tweet fits.

Ahhh, Trump and his cultists, and their obsession with "crowd sizes". I thought this whole issue died long ago, but like with anything Trump, it never seems to die for good.

They love big crowds and they cannot lie. Wait till the see the size of the impeachment crowd.

It was a variation on "why should New York and California dictate the President"?

It was a critique of "the Electoral College shouldn't be based on population."

It was rendition of "we are a Republic not a Democracy" and "we don't accept mob rule."

Hillary was the chosen one for years...The shock across America when she didn't win speaks to all of this. She was so set up for a win that they only put an old socialist against her. When the old socialist started to gain on her the DNC fixed it. I do agree that the only reason Trump won was that enough of the left didn't vote.

These people watched too many episodes of Mythbusters. I reject your reality and substitute my own. Who knew it would be the motto for 2017.

ETA: And by these people I am talking about those that would see a thread posted by a Trump hater and claim it came from a cultist.
