Apparently, even being Asian doesn’t mean people won’t take you for being a white nationalist.

According to the popular college-football blog Outkick the Coverage, ESPN pulled an Asian announcer from calling a University of Virginia football game. The announcer’s name is Robert Lee.

“Did I mention that Robert Lee is Asian?” blogger Clay Travis asked rhetorically in a post that poured scorn over the popular sports network for political correctness, calling it “MSESPN.”

Citing “multiple Outkick fans inside ESPN,” Mr. Travis said Mr. Lee was pulled from the Cavaliers Sept. 2 game in Charlottesville against William and Mary “because they were concerned that having an ASIAN FOOTBALL ANNOUNCER NAMED ROBERT LEE would be offensive to some viewers.”

This is not a hoax.

ESPN is insane.

So an Asian man that happens to have the name Robert Lee can not work a UVA game because ESPN thinks his NAME will trigger people.

The world has gone nuts.

ESPN did him a favor, there was a high probability he could have been relocated to a museum.

Just spell his name Li or use his Chinese name. If he was born in China, he is likely not named Robert.

ETA: ESPN is caught up in the mania of trying not to offend the easily offended. Merry Christmas is now Happy Holidays so as not to offend any one.

It's been so subtle but sports and politics, much like hollywood and politics, are having a meeting of the minds in the progressive hive mind.

More influence and control over the feeble minds public schools seem to be churning out.

The majority of main stream media, academia, hollywood, and now even sports is dominated by the progressive mindset.

The entire main stream culture is becoming a progressive echo chamber. In this environment, the other side is demonized and considered fascist or racist.

And thats not true.

Whats more, the overwhelming majority of people that watch sports don;t want to hear about politics!!!

There is a simpler answer than all this....money. ESPN "heads" probably panicking that they will lose ad revenue once the left side accused them of being Nazi sympathizers if they did not pull this innocent man from the broadcast. More proof that simply accusations, no matter how baseless and STUPID, have sway over weak and fearful minds.

That is my theory....$$$ drives decisions in a business. And the left knows this and have weaponized baseless accusations to their benefit.

How can this be?

There isn't a word in the English language to express the ridiculousness.

We need a new word for stupidity that goes above and beyond all the stupid that went before.
