ACA limits the insurance companies take to 20%. Now I am not sure if that is a good or bad. But the more health care costs, the more the insurance companies charge. In turn their share (20%) grows due to the higher premiums.

We need to go single payer or no insurance at all.

Single payer is the first step. UHC is the ultimate goal.

The ACA is junk and allowed the insurance companies to drive prices up to make the 20% really count.

The insurance companies are cooking the books and make more then 20% profit.
They make around 40%+ by paperwork tricks and only report 20% profit to the government.

a friend has a $2000 deductible and spent the deductible at doctors he trusted.
now his insurance company tells him none of has deductible counts because it was not spent at there doctors and have no idea how to treat someone with his very very rare autoimmune disorders.

That's how insurance networks work.
