Protect Your Vote!

Well how would you suggest the government continue after a catastrophic attack?

You can't have the survivors vote, or we'd decay into Rome, blowing up opposing senators to pass bills.

You can't wait for more to be elected, that would take months, and then what if they just keep blowing up all the knew elected officials? Just stop government all together?

Someone needs to be an imediate fill in, but that someone should probably come from state governments not so much as be appointed.
