The thing about predicting the future is, as soon as you publish the prediction, you alter the reality, and change the course of events, modifying that future.

Prophesy is used to alter the future, not to see it through.

If something good is about to happen, we keep silent, so that it can emerge unimpeded.

But, if something bad is about to happen, we announce it, so that the universe is forced to change direction, and veer off into another alternate future reality instead.
