Say what you will about the current political climate but if this is true we've really gone off the deep end as a society. In the liberal metropolis I reside in this is a very popular hair style of the hipster scene. I did not realize it also meant they were Nazis.

Yes, we really have come to a point where people judge the character of other human beings based upon nothing but the way they choose to wear their hair. And clothes. And shoes. And everything else superficial. Absolutely.

...Does not a "Nazi" make. It is definitely true that we are what we eat. But we are not necessarily what we wear.

Im skeptical this isnt a bull# story but it seems not which is ludicrous.. Im from Colorado as well and you said it. That has been the most popular haircut for young guys there for the past couple years. Like literally half the guys you saw had it there for awhile.

And the article mentions Macklemore sporting it before the hipsters - whom is pretty much as anti neo nazi you can get. Anyways, yes the media is bringing out the crazy in people but the crazy was already there and you cant fix stupid.

Was his attacker just running around with a knife looking for haircuts to attack? Good chance he was drunk or high on something harder.

Eh what can i say, i am temporarily living in the south with this haircut and when I walk through the white neighborhoods i get heiled and approving car honks and arms raised up. /s

Getting fearporn from Yahoo is as good of place as any I suppose.

However to get a more accurate metric to be used one can simply got out and mingle with the folks. Reality is, it's not as bad as the MSM would have anyone believe.

Conversely, should our end as a country or even as a species be coming to an end, that knowledge would NOT in fact be pushed by any popular media outlet.

It might or might not be staged, but either way, it's just another way of labeling people, lumping them into a group based on absolutely nothing but preconceived bias...and intentional or not, this kind of thing is only widening the chasm between basic common sense and going along with the distortions of other people who prefer not to think for themselves.

But we are not necessarily what we wear.

Until we wear what we are. There are many groups out there who DO dress/groom to propagate shockand recognition of sect/status.

I mean really...

I'm not going to dress like this:

When I live my life like this:

Or the other way around.

Just take a walk down the middle of Seattle and you'll find out just how true this is.

I don't really get it. I remember the term skinheads from way back when-I actually thought all military men had to be kinda shaved heads like that. Calling it Nazi-well, that fits what skinheads looked like, so, ok. I guess anyone and everyone can now claim a shaved head any thing they desire.

Meh you get used to it after a while.

I was labeled a racist for the last 8 years for not supporting the president.

Now your labeled a racist FOR supporting the president.

That's all that's left of the left, is hate.

I wholeheartedly agree with your assessment. I live in Chicago and if you listened to the MSM you'd swear it was Syria west. I'm more concerned with the growing sentiment that it's ok to perpetrate violence against someone you believe you are morally superior to.

Again, we can point to the media. Assigning terms such as nazi and kkk member is meant to dehumanize the subject so you can assume that faux superiority and perhaps self justification. Facts be damned.

We've this tactic used since propaganda came into existence. We are supposed to be smarter.

There's a thread right here on ATS that makes it OK to hit anyone, punch is the word they used, who might be a Nazi. Whether they're actually doing anything Nazi'ish, or not.

What's alarming is just how many think it a good idea...

So color me very unsurprised that folks might just be this stupid.
