It's why I live pretty publicly online. Doxxing me is pointless, lol. I'm who I say I am online and it makes me feel safer knowing that interactions are always witnessed by people I know and/or trust.

However the doxxing is rampant and the Nazi/kkk are falling and crying "but I'm not a racist" when they get fired and kicked out of school.
You reap what you sow....

Cameras, phones, video crews everywhere, were recording every Nazi that walked by and social media has changed everything.

What goes around comes around. Remember the cries of Eric Clanton?

Are you thinking anybody here would defend Eric Clanton? He's a great example of "what goes around, comes around".

Not sure how that's a counterpoint to the post you replied to.

What I think about this whole situation .

This woman is spot on. There are many other problems to focus on then these small groups spreading hate.

And who do you think owns that debt?

Remember? That's exactly the stuff people digged up way back, seems like another universe by now.

The one whining they can't buy enough stuff.

Kinda telling, though.

Apparently he was just "misunderstood, not a bad guy, really" or some other BS according to some.

That should be a permanent link at the top of every page.

What are you trying to say...
I'm glad they got Clanton on film and he should go to jail for a long time.

I was asking myself this question the other day when I suddenly realized I was rooting for white supremacists to beat the crap out of antifa or whatever they are.

After thinking about it, I think I know what happened in my head.

A LOT of people on both sides have gotten to the point where anyone left is a communist bent on destruction, or anyone that's Republican or a Trump supporter is a Nazi.

Then you start seeing a bunch of people saying punch a Nazi, then you start hearing that some people equate being white, or a Trump supporter, or a Republican means you're a Nazi, and you feel threatened and indignant because you've never supported Nazis or white nationalists. Now since everyone is playing that the other side is only represented by the worst on that side, you get mad at the entire left, which is absurd.

Another thing that comes into play that I think most people don't want to talk about is that when you watch the videos where there are actual fights, you're probably going to identify with one side over the other subconsciously based on the way they look. So when I see a bunch of people dressed in all black and faces covered, or with their pants hanging off their asses, or blue hair fighting a bunch of guys that are white, usually somewhat clean shaven, not dressed like people I roll my eyes at, my brain thinks they're the ones I should side with, because they look like me. Of course then some stereotypical white trash mullet having dude pops up and I remember what I'm looking at. It's a little weird looking at those pictures of the little torchlight parade and realizing i'd fit right in looking the way I do.

Problem is I think this is happening to both "sides" and it's making more people extreme and violent. Especially when we stay in our little echo chambers and never even entertain the idea that the other side may be wrong on some things, but have a good point on others.

I think a lot of people aren't taking Nazi literally anymore, because its being ascribed to people that AREN'T Nazis, and is robbing that word/idea of it's power. I don't think there are many people on ATS that would defend white supremacy, but sort of feel forced to because they feel they're being labelled as white supremacists.

I haven't had a drink in a few days, so this might not make much sense.

It wasn't, just a strawman setup to be able to reference a leftist that got identified after assaulting people.

Key word: leftist.

And here I thought the strawman was creating threads on ATS criticing ATS membership they aren't outraged/vocal enough against natzees.

Although as per ATS TC HATE Speech is verboten.

Subtle or otherwise.

A lot of what you said confirms my suspicions (the first half, especially). I've actually wondered about that scenario where a regular white conservative stops and says "heyyyyy... am I rooting for a Nazi?!" and then dissects it to the conclusion you came up with.

I rarely take a conspiracy angle and I'm not right now (I'm terrible at it) but I do wonder why the media is trying so hard to paint anti-white nationalism as a position against conservatism, in general. And conservative news hammers in the opposite, insinuating that hating Nazis = Antifa.

It's truly bizarre.

Lets look at Antifa and Nazi's in a different light.

I see them as ISIS versus Assad's regime.

1 - Thread about broadening acceptance of Nazi ideology. Check.
2 - Hate speech is not allowed on ATS. Check.

All of what you just said is factual.

What is your point?

What?!

Stop thinking of Antifa as being the opposite of Nazis, silly! That's the whole problem! Nazi or Not-Nazi? You can't possibly think that the only position to take other than white nationalism is antifa.

It's not ISIS vs Assad's regime. It's ISIS vs everybody who's not ISIS.

Now, when you write a thread about Nazis, members get offended! Why?!
...

Nice try, but that is not why people get offended... People get offended because the majority in the left have been claiming that conservatives, and people leaning to the right are all "NAZIS"...

That's why people are getting offended. The left are labeling the right as NAZIS simply because the majority of the left want to oppress anyone who does not bow to left-wing ideology.

It is very ironic how the left make these claims, yet the left keeps on wanting to deny that NAZI ideology was created by "left-wing ideology".

The left-wing antifa want to claim they are fighting nazism, yet they show time and again to be nazis themselves. If any conservative minority group dispels this false notion from the left that "right-wingers are all white" the response from many in the left is to become rabid racists and denounce those minorities as "racist themselves"...

I am no "white nationalist". BTW, nationalism is not a rightwing ideology, and it isn't a belief of only white people either... Gandhi was a National Socialist, and the entire "liberation" movement in India was a "National Socialist" movement which sought to become independent, but also sought to remove all white people from India.

Nationalism by itself is not an ideology bound by race. Nationalism can be good or bad, depending on what other ideology is part of Nationalism. People who are nationalists believe that their nations should be able to govern itself without outside influence.

Nazi's are bad. Ok?
They are just wrong. It's a bad ideology.

Antifa? I look at Berkeley and their violence against free speech. They are not innocent. They are anti-free speech, anti-freedom.

Both can be bad.

I'm "anti-Nazi", but I'm not Antifa.

I see Antifa as more communist oriented and Nazi's as just dumbasses with low IQ's.

As a matter of fact, maybe a smart Nazi is Antifa, and maybe a dumb antifa is a smart Nazi.

The problem is.

Very few do accept it.

From what I gathered the entire beef is some aren't happy because some aren't outraged enough for their taste.
