My answer was very clear. Not sure what part you don't get.

Spotify does not need to provide a platform for white supremacists music.

They were yes and no questions. I saw neither a yes nor no.

But I get your answer, as relativist and unprincipled as it is. Thanks again.

Spotify is free to remove content for any reason at all, including no reason.

And I am free to assume since they removed content for the reason that they cannot tolerate it, then everything they haven't removed is stuff they can & do tolerate.

It's all very enlightening. I had no idea that Spotify tolerates misogyny and violence against women until today.

Explain what part you are unable or unwilling to understand about my answer then maybe I can help.

Still waiting for your answer on funding white supremacists.

Please respect Spotify, the owners of the Content, and other users of the Spotify Service. Don’t engage in any activity, post any User Content, or register and/or use a username, which is or includes material that:

is offensive, abusive, defamatory, pornographic, threatening, or obscene;

End of story.

I will notify them.

Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kanye West...and many others better get pulled, too.

I will!

And let's discuss after. We'll see what messages of violence and hate they tolerate or don't.

I understand your answer, as relativist and unprincipled as it is.

And yes I will pay artists for their work, whether they are white supremacists or porn stars or puppeteers.

I think that would only exacerbate the problem. Their hypocrisy and relativism is already apparent.

Why do you care? The white supremacists are free to use other sites or create their own.

But not mime artists, that is going to far.

Lets try this.

I am legal and morally obliged to pay for products or services I consume.

I am not legally or morally obliged to buy or facilitate others to buy these good or services.

That is not censorship.

Ask about the Beach Boys, too.

I care because censorship drives groups like these underground where they radicalize.

It legitimizes their arguments. It delegitimizes ours.

It proves we are only able to tackle their ideas with force and coercion, and not truth and reason.

It proves we are scared of them.

Worse, censorship is their tactic, not ours. Apparently we are not that different after all.

Rap/hip hop is not a fascist ideology of hate, although it may be, can be, and certainly is to some, offensive. Neo-Nazis and Nazism are a fascist ideology of hate and supremacy against non-whites, etc. BIg F# difference.

That people are comparing a blatantly fascist ideology to one that is not is the false equivalency.

It's not about the message in the music, per say, (to a degree it is), but the ideology that influences and drives the music, is this case Neo-Nazi fascist sympathizers.

And I don't even like or listen to rap or hip hop.

The goods and services are music streaming. You ban some music for political reasons. That's censorship.

I care because I am sick of companies that cower in fear of the label 'racist,' but wear their 'misogynist' badges proudly, by comparison.

I also care because I never could stand censorship of any kind when it comes to the arts.

I didn't like it with Mapplethorpe and the NEA, I didn't like it with conservatives personally burning the Dixie Chicks CDs...censorship is pathetic whether it's driven by the left or right....private or governmental.

If you want to censor expressions of art, you suck. (Not you, necessarily...but companies/groups/people who censor and burn books/art/CDs/etc...suck, IMO.)

If Spotify wants to censor, fine. But they better censor everything that is controversial and/or offensive then, lest they be guilty of 'tolerating' hateful messages.

Again, and this is getting rather circular, no one had banned anything.

Then you don't know how misogynistic it is and how it spreads messages of violence against women.

But go ahead...prioritize the black American cause over the cause of women.

As I said in my reply, it's not a fascist ideology of hate.

That's the difference.
