That seems more accurate.

It's sad that a poem that was written to combat and stand up against fascism is being repurposed to defend fascism.
But pretty typical. That just means that the propaganda machine is running out of ideas. They don't get that the original stands alone in its power.

False equivalence

Hey, neat. Just like everyone's opinion of fascism vs the word Nazi.

American's don't like Fascists, because the Nazi's. When they hear Fascist, they misassociate for the word 'Nazi' every time.

Liberals are Fascists, Conservatives embrace Fascism in their efforts to 'combat Fascism'.

The US is a ticking time-bomb for fascism, most of our culture even revolves around it. "United We Stand" is a good general expression for what fascism is. We just have politically backwards ideology on top of it, for example "Land of the Free" is almost slightly contradictory of "United we Stand", like band-aides on a fascist style Government.

Most of them aren't complete 'Nazi' yet though so the alarms aren't ringing. If a third parties get off the ground the crisis can easily be averted. Hopefully a Right v Left v Green v Tech will be the stepping stone 4 race.

Somebody on another thread used a holocaust survivor's poem about fascism ("first they came for...") to defend white nationalists.

Yep. That's what's going on here too.

A straw man. No one here is defending fascism.

All I'm trying to do is defend free speech.

Who knew it would be so damned difficult.

It's true, if the communists have their way America will be one big padded cell. It won't be evil anymore because the history will be fundamentally erased.

And if the laissez faire Ayn Rand capitalists get there way we will have wealth inequality at all time highs, middle class poverty wages, corporate owned prison labor camps, and out-of-control military spending. Oh wait, that's what we have now.

Far better than communism.

I do value free speech. I just value humans more. It's astonishing how you think you can defend the suppression of big parts of the population just by saying "free speech".
You know Blacks & Hispanics are still treated as second class citizens? The whole Zimmermann nightmare and police violence again and again have proven that. You defend killing people because you feel your rights are in danger? How do those who have less rights in front of the law enforcement the power to threaten your right of free speech?

Anyone notice the anti nazi/white supremacist rhetoric on this site and elsewhere ?

The anti's would have no problems with waterboarding/sending 'nazi's to Gitmo or inter them in camps and out right extermination.

They sing a different tune when it comes to Islamo fascists(That's terrorists for the cognitive dissonant bunch)

They're just misunderstood.

As long as they keep up the fantasy that everyone is a fascist, it justifies their actions, no matter how evil.

Everyone should IGNORE the FACT the 'majority' voted for Clinton.

And yet white supremacy is a problem endemic in America.

That may honestly be the most mind-numbing thing I have ever read. Ever.

Outside of 1930's Germany and an active Klan rally the entire damned world is anti Nazi / white supremacist.

And this thread is a slippery slope fallacy, but I don't see you calling the OP on that.

I think you are being dramatic.

Trump is not a Nazi and neither are his supporters.

Now some of his supporters may be neo-Nazis, but still not Nazis.

Outside of Germany in the 30's/40s there are no NAZI's.

This is where you are completely wrong on so many levels, I honestly can't tell if you're trolling.

I am simply defending the right to expression.

I am not defending the content of the speech.
I am not defending criminal actions.

I am defending the right for ANYONE to have the freedom to express opinion.

There is no obligation to listen, so don't listen.

Posers but not a nazi.

National socialist Workers Party- GERMAN.

The term NAZI as it is used today is meant to insult anyone that disagrees with leftist ideology.

The actually number of white supremacists in the United States has next to NO political power.

All monuments erected after the abolition of slavery should be targeted for removal because those who erected them were being obstinate little snowflakes in the face of the fact they lost a war over whether not to abolish slavery.

I know some people are going to throw up the fact that the civil war wasn't about slavery...

...I don't F care...

He has a point, that slippery slope has no boundaries for the Alt-left

First they came for the confederate flags and I did not speak out. Then they came for the statues and I did not speak out. Then they came for the founding fathers and I did not speak out. Then they came for the Constitution and I did not speak out. Then they came for me and I did not speak out because I did not have the freedom of speech and the freedom to bear arms.

Here is the slippery slope...What exactly do those Statues commemorate that has you wanting them left up?
