Going to compare Antifa with al Qaeda? You're insane.

Now AntiFa, up to this point they have done nothing but riot, loot, destroy and attack people.

The moment they actually kill people you can come at me again.

Sides... as in "living" or "dead"? It's plain as day, you're either part of the murderous bunch or you aint. Stop with the mental gymnastics and try a mirror, douchebag. Have at it!

Just curious, is that when you said when a person attending a BLM rally killed five cops?

You were either part of murderous BLM, or you weren't?

You obviously have issues with many things.

That individual probably visited McDonalds on the same day as well, ban all murderous Big Macs?

Except for trump who said there were good white supremacists at the rallies..

The rest of the GOP has though to be fair..

Now you are out an out telling a lie!

Show me a video of where Trump said, "There were good white supremacists.". Are you that low that you will tell lies or are you just misinformed?

Agreed. Both are enemies to common sense and the unity that this country needs.

In fact, I can quote him disavowing them over and over. But why even bother with you? It's only Joshua.

Looking at JoshuaCox's complete failure of another thread right now i truly believe the person is just baiting us. I'm done playing games.

Looking in from the outside (i.e. I am not a Yank), I can say that this is a typical issue across Europe. Huge anti-far right reaction to Nazi groups, and quite right too. Complete silence on those groups who consider themselves to be far left, but are also violent. Often the only difference is the haircut, the piercing and he flag.

Also, a very sad inclination for some people to brand anyone who does not agree with them as "far right". We saw this in the UK's Brexit debates where people opposed to immigration were pronounced by the smug-left as racists and far right. This attempt to close down discussion is rather sad.

We need to challenge people with far right views AND challenge those with far left views. Both viewpoints can (and do) lead to violence, intolerance and bigotry. Both views ultimately stifle freedom of expression and erode civil liberties.

Can't believe that i have to say this but the members of the AFD(german rightwing party) are apparently far more reasonable than the Antifa crowd. At least they don't go around looting stores and cause mayhem every chance they get. In fact they are very silent at this point.

Fighting for freedom and liberty is the highest honor one can achieve.

National Socialists are not fighting for freedom and liberty. Just like the confederacy didn't fight for freedom or liberty.

So no both sides are not terrible.

Its that what antifa and others are fighting for, freedom and liberty?

I would argue there past behavior shows they are fighting for censorship and intolerance of ANYONE who doesn't exactly agree with them.

Imagine if someone had said the reverse of what you did.

"Fighting for free expression is the highest honer one can acheive.

Antifa is not fighting for freedom.

Therefore the other side must be good."

You are literally praising violent thugs.

AntiFa's agenda is to fight Fascism or people who want to take away other people's Constitutional rights. The Fascists want to take away groups of people's Constitutional rights. They may be equal but at least AntiFa's agenda has a very narrow scope of attention.

AntiFA is not really organized: "Antifa is a far-left political movement of autonomous anti-fascist groups in the United States."

I'm not sure AntiFA deserves to be called a thing if all its members are "autonomous" and there's no central authority.

No he didn't. Stick to the facts please. You can't just throw around lies and accusations willy nilly without backing them up with evidence first.
Not cool.

Not true, the majority of us that participate in Anti-fascist actions are anarchist, but Antifa is a decentralized synthesis of people, while the majority are anarchists, there are some Marxist, Lenninist, Maoist, socialist that join

I think I finally get this accusation.

Its projection.

You know that you are defending the violent thugs on one side, and so you assume that anyone criticizing them must be defending the violent thugs on the other side.

No, unlike you, I am condemning both sides.

Ok I know there are already many threads on this topic but I think the shouting is drowning out reasonable voices.

For the most part I've stayed out of these discussions because it's such a huge mess.
I had a thought that I believe describes the situation that everyone should be able to understand.

Ok the Neo-Nazis are terrible I don't think any reasonable person will argue against that.

For the sake of this thread we'll say they are the equivalent to ISIS. That shouldn't be too hard to wrap our heads around.

Now AntiFa, up to this point they have done nothing but riot, loot, destroy and attack people. They can say they are against fascism all they want. They are not good guys. We're going to say they are the equivalent of AL Queada.

So AL Queada shows up and attacks ISIS. That's great that they are fighting each other. But neither is right. The enemy of my enemy is still my enemy.

I hope this helps some people get a better grasp on the situation.

Have a wonderful day.

I would say the difference is white supremacy philosophy is disgusting so that side are foul humans.

However the anti nazi side is not all antifa.

Therefore not equal.
