Let's just hope they don't breed.

Looks like people expressing their First Amendment right to free speech. Sounds like you are trying to be a fascist and deny them that. Sucks to be him that they don't like him and his symbols, but those people have the right to scream and yell at him.

So , who is to blame ?

This shouldn't be an us vs. them thing. Both sides have committed acts of violence, and that's completely unacceptable.

What scares me is that the middle is being eroded from both sides.

Anyone who commits an act of violence is to blame, and putting it on the left or the right is ridiculous. People are being whipped into a fervor by the media, and it's disgusting. Apparently dialogue is evaporating and you have to choose a side and get violent or else you're complacent.

If you feel you are losing your "white, southern heritage" based on the removal of a statue of a traitor who lost a civil war, I am deducing that you identify with the secessionist's cause.

In other words, you lost. Get over it.

Again . Did that member "lose" in the Civil War ? Did you fight and "win" ?
Careful , your extreme ignorance is showing along with starting to sound bigoted
Archie , is that you ?

Please do. What do you think alt left means? Define it for me.

Violent, hateful, socialist, authoritarians who seek to impose their cultural and political ideology on all others at pain of being murdered, censored and/or relegated to second class citizenry, with fewer rights than those that join them or are compliant to them.

So cartoon villains. Good to know.

This error was corrected earlier. The intent of the statues remain clear, to intimidate a minority of the population and thumb their nose at the Yankee states..

You lost, get the %$#! over it.

Error, outright lie to promote a false narrative more like it. Seems you don't fact check....maybe Soros can help you with that.

I'm not from the South. My ancestors weren't even in America. Where do you draw the line? Should veneration of any slaveholder be destroyed? I get the reasons why such monuments were done. You detest and disagree with them. So? You don't have a Constitutional right to be offended by things you don't like and destroy them. I don't like Nazis, doesn't give me the right to hit one because I want to. Change things within the system of law we have.

I wish I could have a good conversation with one of these people. I'm all for freedom to protest but to bring weapons in advance is pretty telling of the agenda of these 'protesters'...

I consider a bottle of piss a weapon btw.

Sounds like a troll comment which you have every right to make, but my point wasn't whether they should be arrested for such deranged behaviour but more along the lines of maybe they need to re-consider it and be ashamed as they fail at the most fundamental human level, it's a basic human reaction which most of us have in case you're wondering...try it.

Absolutely agreed. But there is always a starting point. Someone has to "cast the first stone" sort of deal. Then violence begets violence

You'd think that would be the "Red line". Some here seem to justify and in fact encourage preemptive violence to get their political views over others that they accuse of promoting violence/hatred ect. That's a problem. You're going to cause violence at some point, maybe not right now, so I must hit you. Still haven't heard a meaningful defense of that train of thought.

The cop at the end.
Take note because that's how you protest. You don't engage in stupid shouting matches or incite violence. I applaud this man in staying calm through the whole thing.

Yeah, because if he wasn't so sound minded, that AR he was holding would have been good use.

Going to go ahead and say bringing the AR at all was pretty damned stupid and not a peaceful sentiment.

Walking around with fully automatic weapons to 'display' them is what terrorists do.

We're only minutes away from mass shootings now.

It's pretty straight forward, peaceful protest =/= weapons. At any moment he could have shot people and you all pat him on the back for being so brave lol.

Lol. Nice try, but I see you for what you are really doing. Politically trolling. That's why you put the thread in the mud pit. Just face it, these people are within their rights to yell and scream at that guy and there is nothing you can do. In FACT you look like a snowflake complaining about it.

I'm pretty alcohol induced happy, and I glazed over your response a little and saw "I must hit you". I REALLY wish you could have seen my stupid face! I thought I had said something terrible but couldn't recall...

The whole punch a nazi thing and whatever the flip side of that is really bother me. Have some freaking respect. One of the most beautiful things about this country is our being able to disagree, sometimes VERY angrily, but still respect each other. I fear we're losing that.

There's no defense. You punch someone you disagree with it's only going to get people on the fence siding with them because you look like a jackass.

There are way more responsible gun owners out there than lunatics. Sorry you swallowed all the bull# propaganda.

Fact: Shootings require guns, and being pushed over the edge. This man has a gun and is being antagonized, something he probably could have foresaw in an attempt to protest.

It was not wise to bring a gun, you can call common sense propaganda if you wish to be that much of an actual sheep. Guns are for killing. Do you see a good reason to kill here?

. The Truth whispers in my ear, thanks. You shouldn't be impressed. I don't really care about the specifics, that's it's Confederate crap, it's the principle. As I've stated, it happened well before my ancestors came to America. Sorry you are offended by my pointing out outright lying, either intentionally or by sheer ignorance.

Bugs me when two sides line up waiting for the other to cast the first stone. Also, I forgot to reply to you in the other thread. Holocaust was what the guy was talking about when I said "Should we tell him". I think I angered you and took your chicken/turkey or goat with a one liner.

Figure if you line up and WANT that stone to be cast, you're not much better than the fellow chucking it.
