I can see this getting much worse over the coming months.

Supposed to be a big March in September for something... can't remember what but that's going to kick off.

No, they won't stop with the "nazis"(mainly because they are using the exact same hateful mechanism)...they will just broaden and gradually redefine the term until it basically means "anyone who disagrees in any minute way with the hive-mind". This is where the danger lies.

They won't stop until they destroy everyone who questions anything.

Bet on it.

When their methods, oft times, resemble the ones they're supposedly resisting...I feel rather safe in criticizing both.

Yup. And in the second world war both the axis and allies used guns and bombs to kill and destroy.

No difference really...

Growler was referring to 'ethnic cleansing' that occurred in Europe around 80 years ago that you may have heard of.

But a great epic fail at calling out an epic fail

"First they came for the nazis...?

... Then they stopped coming because there were no more nazis."

I think this is part of the problem. There will never be no more Nazis. Ideologies cannot be killed.

Did we learn nothing from the attempted "war on terror"?

Kick a supremacists ass, you think they'll stop being a supremacist? No. They dig in harder. They get reinforcements, they recruit harder. Hate and violence will not solve the problem of supremacy, white or otherwise.

FFS people, you can't stop ideologies. There will always be a political left and right and there will always be extremes on both sides... There is no stopping that.

You all kind of ignored the OP but it's true.

We worry about young, impressionable men being influenced and recruited by ISIS but pretend that it can't happen to white kids here in America in regards to neo-nazi's.

Young, dumb kids being told that it's not their fault they can't get good paying jobs but it's the blacks and the browns and their affirmative action and safe spaces keeping them down.

'Check out this message board, check out this blog post, look at this news article. It's saying everything that I've been telling you! It's them, it's those outsiders holding you back from your hopes and dreams.'

Now I know what the muslims feel like when I'm being forced to choose between ISIS and Al Queda.

I vote neither.

Antifa and their communist/anarchist/socialist hatred and Nazi's can both take long baths with cheap radios.

We give these "quantum mechanics" the ability to forge whatever thoughts we may want to consider on their behalf because they are "experts" and we should trust them.

A placebo effect can be managed by planting seeds of thought into an unsuspecting mind.

Let's plant the seeds of love and leave the rest behind?

Never trust anyone motivated by their salary.

This was a thread attempting to highlight the very real concern of rising far-right extreme groups. The argument that a group of Nazis is okay because 'look at the anti-Nazis' is ridiculous, perhaps another thread should be used to condemn anti-fascists?

I've been looking, but I have not seen anyone say Nazis are okay because of any reason. Could you share a quote and link?

The fact that people think it appropriate to reply to an opening topic with some decent evidence with a couple of pictures which basically say 'nothing to see here, look over there', says a lot about this website.

I see people showing pictures of domestic terrorists in a thread about domestic terrorism/extremism.

Unless you think Antifa doesn't try to intimidate people who don't agree with their politics, ignore law enforcement and government, or target civilians?

Keep calm and be antifascists.

You know it's the right thing. They existed during their rise in both Germany and Italy - at least someone saw the danger.

Like I said, this is not about Germany in the 40s . This is about the US in 2017
So , basically that would be off-topic.
Someone needs to step into the 21st Century. That is part of the mindset that is going on today.
Again , Epic Fail.

"U.S. cuts grant for group that seeks to deradicalize neo-Nazis"

WASHINGTON — Christian Picciolini, a former neo-Nazi leader who now helps deradicalize white supremacists, was looking forward to expanding his efforts with funding from the federal government, authorized in January.

But in June, Picciolini learned the Trump administration had rescinded the $400,000 grant for his Chicago-based group, called Life After Hate, after then-Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly reviewed the list of organizations receiving money under a program to counter violent extremism in the United States. Kelly said the review was to ensure “taxpayer dollars go to programs with the highest likelihood of success, that support the men and women on the front lines of this fight, and that can be self-sustaining into the future.” Kelly rescinded funding for 12 groups and added seven others.

Picciolini, however, wonders whether his group’s focus on white supremacism, rather than extreme radical Islam, may be behind the decision, though he stresses he doesn’t know — he never heard back from the department about why Life After Hate was excluded. A program at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill that countered recruiting messages from both jihadi and white supremacy groups was also cut from the DHS grants. White House official Sebastian Gorka is against countering violent extremism programs, and HuffPost reported that his wife, Katharine Gorka, an official at DHS, lobbied against giving funds to Life After Hate.

“After we won, they changed the rules of the game,” Picciolini told Yahoo News.

What's going on here these programs shouldn't be cut in funds.

The reason probably has to do with the group being partisan and not slanting in the way of the current administration.

I love how some used a ruin instead of a Swastika on their flags, thinking no one would recognize LOL

Some did use the flag:

It's curious that so many of you focus your ire on a resistance movement, resisting Nazis.

It's curious that you insinuate that because we don't like Antifa, we are Nazi sympathizers.

I don't like Antifa. That's not the point.

When there is an obvious card-carrying Nazi force being met with a resistance, and a person favors repeatedly criticizing the resistance to that Nazi element, what other conclusions are there to draw? It is obvious that many on this site literally believe that counter protesters are worse than Nazis.

I will call those people Nazi sympathizers every time I encounter them.
