The ACLU was there defending the rallies free speech, and could have been caught in the crossfire.

They criticized how the police seemed to encourage violence as an excuse to shut down the rally.

What really gets to me. I mean deep down is that there is actual discussions and grievances against Trump that plenty of Trump supporters would actual partake in and could be a valuable discussion.
