Do you think that the fact that this just happens to be the present collective condition of millions of people is merely some amazing coincidence for the establishment?
It's absolutely not!
Its instead the intentional result of social engineering.......

I guess some people are just stupid and weak enough to have fallen for it.

"Now we know that an idol is nothing..." (I Cor. 8:4). History is replete with visible examples of one group of people behaving badly to another group of people. The Irish, Chinese, and Native Americans were not treated well in this country's beginning either but those groups have risen to have significant influence in our current lives and their contributions are valued by all. Women of any color were not given the vote until 50 years after black men were. Everyone has been oppressed by someone at some time. Shall we burn down the entire country and start over? That seems to be the agenda as several people have pointed out that these acts of violence toward "racist" reminders were not conducted during Obama's tenure (where they would, undoubtedly, have been applauded). To my knowledge Robert E. Lee did not own slaves, however, Ulysses S. Grant did. Grant's statue still stands. Muslims STILL own slaves yet their mosques still stand.

So far, a Lincoln statue, a peace movement statue, a holocaust memorial, gravestones, and others have been defaced or vandalized. There's action being proposed to remove more. Dead people are being disinterred!

Lincoln was no friend to the black man and did not consider ever entertaining the notion of racial equality. He was a traitor to the nation, suspending the Constitution and died before he could re-instate it (if he ever intended to). Those in the political arena declaring states rights vs. federal authoritarianism are in the same boat as the Southerners who wanted to secede from what they saw as overreaching authority; much like California is now wanting to secede from the union. Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation only freed Southern slaves. Slavery continued on for another 7 months in the North after the Proclamation was made. This statue nonsense isn't about slavery reminders.

We The People are being played, manipulated. The "divide and conquer" tactic still works, apparently.

1) Trump may be an ego maniacal blowhard but he's no racist. He's received awards from the black community for his support and has many people of color on his staff. He acted prudently in waiting until he'd seen videos and received reports before making a statement about the incident. If you truly believe Trump is a racist and/or Nazi, how do you think he's going to react to the bad behavior? Do you suppose that it will be in your favor? How about martial law, internet shutdown and troops in your neighborhood to keep order?

2) Lumping all conservatives in with race haters is wrong. I call "foul". It unfairly puts conservatives on the defensive having to deny racist tendencies. The Unite The Right was supposed to be about uniting conservatives. They do have an undertone of angst against what they perceive as an cultural trend towards demonizing whites and were taking a stand against that. They should never have allowed the white supremacists to march with them in a show of solidarity no matter if the two groups agreed on that one point. The white supremacists do not represent the white equalists (if that's even a word?). In the same vein many blacks are decrying the actions of BLM as not representing their desire for equality rather than superiority. Antifa is not antifascist at all; they're keeping that wolf away from the door by calling it a dog. They are entirely fascist.

3) Less than 1% of all Southerners owned slaves (which is still 1% too many) but IF the civil war (and, by extension, Robert E. Lee) was about freeing slaves, do you really think the Southerners would have allowed the black slaves to fight in the civil war?

4) Jason Kessler, the Unite The Right organizer was an Obama supporter and OWS demonstrator. Two of those so far arrested for pulling down the Durham statue were avowed Communists. I see a pattern.

Regardless of your view on whether the statues should remain or not for whatever reason, as a Constitutional Republic and a nation of laws, we all MUST respect one anothers opinion. To demand that ONLY your opinion is valid and dissenting opinions are (insert knee-jerk epithet: racist, homophobic, xenophobic, nazi, etc.) is intellectually dishonest and emotionally immature. We are at the brink of civil war and the only winners to that conflict will be all the foreign nations that hate our guts and will take advantage of a divided America to conquer us ALL. Do you think your whining will be allowed then? Do you think your violent, immature temper tantrums will be allowed then? Do you think foreign conquerors will give two figs for ANY of our history, good or bad? Stop the madness!

a reply to: whitewaveOthers, among you, will continue to roam the internet, helplessly addicted to your morning shots of email and memes and in jokes and twitter debates.
Never conscious of how easily you’re manipulated by an army of scientists, marketers and engineers.
Never bothering to think more than 3 seconds before shouting your opinion- which will basically be you parroting the opinion of the people you find coolest.
They have opinion makers and leaders on each side, supplying a few critical flashpoint incidents to create argument.
So, when creating propaganda, you try and create your own rebellion, to give natural born rebels the illusion of control.
That way, you secretly control both sides by creating an artificial war that hides away the main issue
Millions and millions. A tidal wave of voices.
All of which use sound bites as their opinion
This is all talk and no results. they can control the masses this way.
Example....
A debate that will rage on forever with hardly any change happening.

I don't know who pissed in your Post Toasties but, if you'd bothered to read, you'd see that I said we're all being manipulated. Re-read your response to my post and there was not one cogent rebuttal; it was all strawman argument and unsubstantiated personal attacks. Epic fail on your part, random cranky dude on an anonymous website.

I'll justify destroying symbols of hate all day long...should have been done long ago.

Does that include books? Paintings?

If they are displayed in a public space as a celebration of a history of hate and local officials are unwilling to remove such symbols...yes...100%.

These things have their place...libraries and museums...not on display on public land.

Last time I checked, libraries and museums were public land, too.

Clearly, you want censorship, so OWN it.

They don't want it displayed on public land so they offer to place it on display. . . . on public land.

They just don't have the courage to say they want to censor.

Yahtzee!

That's exactly what they want.

Read just yesterday that UT in Austin removed their statues in the middle of the night, no notice. Shouldn't be surprised, given that it is Austin....

Hope they lose all their games from here on out.

Progressive Liberal Fascists want to restrict ANY free speech they don't agree with...pretty much every single campus in America...

Berkeley comes to mind...Progressive Fascists tactics like Antifa (brownshirts) and the media (propagandists) are pure fascist tactics (Hi)tler used to take control and create a Socialistic Dictatorship...like Progressive want to do in America.

That's exactly what they want. We saw brown-shirted people marching around after O was elected, as I recall, too. It's ironic that they claim their opposition is like the Nazis, when they are themselves.

I LITERALLY compared them to terrorists, and you say my idea makes me a terrorist.

Okay. I'm worse than who destroyed the statue. You win.

I don't know what you are looking for here. A cookie? A pat on the back? I stated what I stated plainly, but didn't list names. People know what they posted, so take it as you will.

Seems quite simple to me. People no longer wish to tolerate having to see symbols of slavery that are worshipped by white supremacists and nazis.

How about instead of blaming civil rights people and black folks and liberals and lefties, you try blaming the screaming violent diehard racists and nazis who made these symbols so thoroughly toxic?

And does everyone see this.

Already two posts on this thread justfying this destruction of public property.

These are the same people that will justify censoring any opinion they deem racist.

And as we have already seen on campuses, everything is racsit that doesn't fit their narrative.

It is people like this that will escalate this feud.

The main problem is, that those areas that used to be majority white are now majority African-American. All somebody has to do is create a justification that those statues are symbols of slavery (it's a Confederate general, he was paid by slave owners) and they want it taken down. A compromise solution would be to move those statues to Confederate graveyards. But those too are under attack.
