If you made a similar comparison he'd call it a straw man. These people seriously must have a manual they work out of.

Here's the difference, though: In Nazi Germany, this sort of thing was cultivated (and eventually mandated) from the government on down. They didn't have the same government system in place at the time as we have here in the U.S., so it was easy for Hitler to take over and become a dictator.

What we're seeing here are groups of citizens acting like jackasses on both sides of the encounter, BUT their ability to express their opinions and beliefs--up until the point of violence--is a constitutionally protected right, and we can't just run out and silence people because we don't like what they're saying.

You cite the Alt-right--that's not the only group of people with literal blood on their hands and culpability in their actions.

Also, your assertion that if someone defends these rights is now a Nazi (or Antifa) sympathizer is a perfect example of a logical fallacy.

From now on, "apparently" is the new buzzword I will use to counter ignorance.

I'm still convinced that I started the 'triggered' craze.

I posted once that Silly or Reldra (I forget) had triggered me and then all of a sudden the word triggered was used in every other political thread I clicked on. Then I was seeing it used in the mainstream.

Someone prove me wrong please because that pissed me off for months.

Hello Knowledge Hunter.

Care to take a day off from your big chase and allow me to go on the hunt for some knowledge today?

Whom are you referencing when you say "both ends of the spectrum"?

What "unpopular views that some people consider hateful" are you able to tolerate?
Who considers these views hateful?

What exactly is "leftist ideology"? Is that democrats? Democratic Socialists? Socialists? Marxists? I mean, to be fair, most of those examples I just gave are on on the left end of the spectrum....but most don't agree with each other on much.

At the beginning of your rant, you sarcastically comment that "...apparently all Nazis deserve to die. Or something like that." I will leave you with this last hypothetical (because we don't have history or anything to go from
): What happens when Nazis are dealt with through peaceful protest?

Thanks, m8...your OP was a bit vague.

Yes, victim blaming is cowardly.

Kind of like saying rape victims were asking for it since they went out to the bar...after all, if they would have stayed home they wouldn't have been raped.

Do you see how stupid and cowardly an argument like that is?

You have to be innocent to be a victim. thats how i look at it. She was not innocent. she was participating in a riot. No comparison to a rape victim here.

You know...I just had to come back to this outrageous claim.

Let's go back to the rape comparison. Let's say an underage girl goes to a party and gets drunk...by your logic, she is no longer "innocent"...so if she gets raped then she isn't a victim, right?

No comparison.

Why is there no comparison? Because it is inconvenient to your argument?

Because you want to be able to say that woman that died in VA wasn't a victim but aren't willing to say the same about rape victims?

The fact that you can even say that the woman that died in VA isn't a victim is disgusting in itself...you really shouldn't worry about making yourself look any worse.

I remember Kelly Ann Conway talking about that.
She called it alternative facts. Alt facts alt reality alt realists.
Yup. That fits.
A hate group though...no that doesn't fit us on either side of the aisle.
At least I didn't think so.
Please tell me I'm right with this...

LOL, now you mention it. I do have a vague recollection of her saying that. Seems so long ago with all the drama surrounding this administration.

Its pretty bad when you get labeled a neo Nazi if you are against racism directed against white people. I have spoken out against anti white racism, but have also spoken out against anti black racism and racism against native Americans. But, since I stand up for white people too I am a Nazi to some people. Which is a perspective that seems to be lost on a lot of people on the left these days; you cannot oppose a "hate group" if you yourself hate people specifically based on skin color. And I am sorry but the left has been virulently anti white these past few years. That's the real irony I find in all this. They are calling these people haters, when they seem to hate all white people.

What was even funnier than what she said was the way the media pounced on it like it meant anything other than "fake news" because they were so desperate for something. I still see weak-minded people repeating it today like it has a special meaning. It was actually just her calling out the media on fake news.

It's not stupid or cowardly. Btw women don't usually get raped AT bars or going to them. It's not taking a cab home or who you leave with that puts an individual in harm's way.

Half the time they are lying due to drunkards regret.(kobe)

It's not her fault for getting hit by the car, it is her fault for not getting out the way.

I live in dangerous neighborhoods, where situational awareness and a good multi route escape plan if things go south are the ONLY factors that allow me to continuously avoid trouble.
Walking toward a crowd that was assaulted the day before by YOUR CROWD... Is exactly how you find trouble.

The only victims I ever see are children and those who lost her. And though her death is tragic, it was Her Choices that led to her being unable to GTFO the way of a psycho.

White pow..! Oh wait, that's not going to work..

I have taught my mixed grandson to fist bump and say "Beige power", since we are both about the same shade. (I tan well)
Perhaps one day, when we bring up race or color, it won't be associated with hate. I feel like it's only about two generations away.

Maybe that's the reason why all sides seem to attract lunatics because they all hate themselves. Well # that i'm german and i will stand with Trump and my fellow sane american brothers and sisters who refuse to get involved in this crap. You know what let them call me Nazi,WS,insert buzzword here or whatever because that only proves that they have no arguments left to defend the despicable and vile actions of their side as well.

Not as long as leftists see everything through lenses of color. Screw standardized testing or other merit-based systems, if we don't judge these college applicants by the color of their skin, it's uber racist.

So the drive of the car didn't have any part of her death?

This is absolutely amazing...the depths people go to justify their own bubble.

Hey, at least you have stopped the lies out of your head.

That tends to happen when you are shown how crazy your beliefs are.

But hey, I understand...you really can't try to defend how you don't think the woman that was killed was a victim and that it was her own fault for being there...I would ignore any discussion about it as well if I held such a silly stance.
