Rubio's security enhanced because of Venezuelan lawmaker's death order

Senator Rubio may have have rattled cages in South America with his criticism. Perhaps enough to have Diosdado Cabello a former military chief in Venezuela to put a price put on his head. Rubio and Cabello have had public feuds before. The threat was real enough to enhance Rubio's security detail for the last several weeks.

One of Venezuela’s most powerful leaders may have put out an order to kill Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, a fervent critic of the South American country’s government, according to intelligence obtained by the U.S. last month.

Though federal authorities couldn’t be sure at the time if the uncorroborated threat was real, they took it seriously enough that Rubio has been guarded by a security detail for several weeks in both Washington and Miami.

The threat that could not be verified buy the US was to have Rubio assassinated. Home land security was the agency to disseminated the info.

The death threat was outlined in a memo to several law enforcement agencies disseminated last month by the Department of Homeland Security. The memo, designated “law enforcement sensitive” but not classified, was obtained by the Miami Herald.

The memo revealed an “order to have Senator Rubio assassinated,” though it also warned that “no specific information regarding an assassination plot against Senator Rubio has been garnered thus far” and that the U.S. had not been able to verify the threat.

Looks like Cabello may have actually contacted hitmen.

According to the memo, Cabello might have gone as far as to contact “unspecified Mexican nationals” in connection with his plan to harm Rubio.

Who cares about Rubio? That sounds like a personal protection problem and not even news worthy. I doubt anything would come of this anyway. Venezuela really want to start problems, this would be the right way to get there quick. The country is garbage now and finding more ways of destroying it even more, not a good idea. But hey, the world is full of dumb leaders.

I think you best watch what your saying. Im no fan of Rubio, but even less so of foreign thugs threatening our elected officials with death. This is the man who allegedly issued the threat btw,Diosdado Cabello.

It probably explains why the Ministry of Truth CIA head Mike Pompeo is setting the stage for military action by claiming the presence of Russians and Iran and Hezbollah ( oh my! )
