Democrat Stacey Evans’ speech to a conference of progressive activists descended into chaos on Saturday, as protesters interrupted her repeatedly and she struggled to make herself heard over chants of “support black women.”

Evans, a Smyrna state legislator who is white, expected a tough audience at the Netroots Nation event, where her rival Stacey Abrams was treated like royalty. But she said she at least expected to be able to make it through her remarks.

My God. What is wrong with some DEMOcrats? Now they have taken to the tactic to shouting down other progressives campaigning for political office. Please someone from the Left explain this new tactic. To me, you are dooming your election chances, so by all means, continue to keep doing this.

No,
They have to out-do the right wing nuts.

There's no room for reasonable voices in American politics today.

You have to be louder and crazier than the other side.

Please provide an example of Republicans behaving in a similiar manner.

This is the Ctrl-Left's warped version of 'free speech'.

Only free speech for them and those they agree with because they are afraid to be confronted by better ideas and intelligent dialogue.

Look ... I found a picture of them walking around and forcefully opening National Monuments in Washington DC.

The Great Tea Party Riots?

Are you referring to the peaceful Tea Party rallies that were turned violent by Soros funded agent provocateurs causing trouble? Those "riots"?

Yeah, thought so. Step away from the KoolAde pitcher.

That describes it very well and applies to both sides. Both the Left and Right are now eating their own.

It stands to reason the truly sane people, the adults in the room, have ran not walked to change their registration to Independent.

If ever there were a time for people not beholding to either Party to run for office, it's now. The patients are running the asylum on both sides.

What about the audience's !st Amendment rights? She was given the platform - her 1st Amendment rights were respected.

I don't recall many instances of - let's say rightist types - letting someone they disagree speak and docilely listening to them?

So Democrats have to be polite but not others?

What is it that upsets you?

Personally I think she was courageous to speak to what she knew to be a 'difficult' crowd and it was courageous of Netroots Nation to give her a platform to speak. What more do you want?

I remember that time when Bernie Sanders was thrown out by all those horrid Christian kids at Liberty University ... nope, didn't happen. They listened politely to his whole speech, the whole college.

Primaries are all about appealing to the fringes because those are the only people who get fired up enough to go vote in them. General elections are where people move to the center.

But changing to an independent removes you from the primary, which in turn pushes them even more towards extremism.

maybe, just maybe being called 'left' for the last six months has led some democrats to look up what left wing means and seeing that the democrats haven't even got a single left leaning idea are questioning their party.
when angela merkel's center right cdu looks socialist by comparison you would imagine people question why their being called 'left'.

if you're angling for a race led answer you should display unemployment for the minorities, education, crime and abuse statistics, you may however answer your own question if you bothered to looked it up.

Oh yeah and wasn't he forced to give up his mic and rally to a couple of BLM'ers?

I remember the Tea Party clean-up riots.

The ones where the place was cleaner when they left than when they got there.

;

So that tactic is to just yell over someone giving a political speech. Amazing. Bravo!

When the minority radicals are allowed to drown out the other candidates, only radicals are left for the non radical democrat voters to choose from.

Simple fascist tactic.

Hey, they've been honing this tactic whenever a conservative speaker has shown up at a university. They're just debuting it on up the food chain now.
