I'm gonna be in the 90% zone. Doubt I'll see it if the BC wildfire smoke is still here. Every night is an orange moon, can't see the mountains.

Not sure about predictions of doom. I watched a good one on YouTube a few weeks ago, done by a religious guy. Apart from the usual end times stuff, it had some good dates he brought up. Can't remember much but the last one, was 1776 ... interesting.

I think I am too. South eastern Virginia.
Actually now that I've looked at the map I'm in the 86% totality. Still a good show.
Nine days away.

I expect our chickens to head to the coop...it will be interesting to see. They dont always head in during really dark storms, but this is different.

There's a lot of reaching goin on from this guy.

Meade says this passage is connected to what he has dubbed the "33 Convergence", where a string of coincidences all include the number 33.

"When the eclipse begins on August 21, the sunrise will be dark, just as Isaiah predicts," he says. "The Moon involved is called a black moon. These occur about every 33 months. In the Bible, the divine name of Elohim appears 33 times in Genesis.

Actually, total solar eclipses occur about every 18 months, not about every 33.

He added: "The eclipse will start in Lincoln Beach, Oregon – the 33rd state – and end on the 33rd degree of Charleston, South Carolina. Such a solar eclipse has not occurred since 1918, which is 99 years – or 33 times three."

The one in 1918 started in Oregon and exited around the 28th degree of Florida, not the 33rd degree of Charleston. The last one to start in Oregon was in 1979, which was 38 years ago.

This isn't going well for the 33's.

33 days after the US' total solar eclipse - on the 23 September - the stars will align just as the book of Revelation says they will before the world ends. This, Meade points out, "is indeed an amazing omen and a frightful sign."

Revelation's chapter 12 depicts a "great sign": that a "woman clothed with the sun, with the Moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head" will "give birth".

On September 23, Meade says, the Moon will appear at the feet of the constellation Virgo (a virgin woman). At the head of Virgo there will be 12 stars, the nine stars of Leo and the planets Mercury, Venus and Mars.

Virgo will then appear to give birth to Jupiter, apparently signalling the beginning of the end for us all.

This is just wishful thinking idiocy as this situation occurs frequently and there are twelve stars regardless of the three extra planets

Yes, definitely fun.

My understanding is that this is going to affect leaders, preachers and royalty. Here's a couple of practical predictions with examples from previous eclipses dates (including the assassination of JFK):

Darkstar: Eclipse astro analysis

The Great American Eclipse

There is a possibility that the eclipse could instigate volcanic activity, going over the Cascadia rift, Yellowstone caldera and then, at totality, passing over the New Madrid fault. This could happen within weeks of the eclipse but, who can say? I live in CA and the ground quakes all the time...but Mt. St. Helena's buried a forest.

God bless, be happy, have fun

You misunderstand what a black moon is. A black moon is when there is an extra new moon in a calendar month, not a term for a solar eclipse, but his timing on this is a little stretched regardless. It's closer to 30 months.

However, there are 33 days until Rev 12 sign, and that debunking has been debunked.

I have my own personal reasons, faith aside, for thinking there is something to this one, but I won't know until it all pans out as it has to do with my own dreams and I am not going to make a prediction.

I won't know exactly what it means until it's all clear. It could still be one thing or another ... or nothing, not this time. But there are things that have me watching this closer than the last 9/23 in 2015.

Not sure the one in 2015 was a total eclipse for all of America. The last one was 1776. Not really sure though. I stand to be corrected. There's another one soon that will slash diagonaly across again but the opposite direction, forming a big X. I wish I could find that video I watched!

Back to dreams. I had a very intense dream once regarding an equinox. Not the same thing. It was not just world ending, but universe ending in one instantaneous event. Every living thing wiped out, not a trace left behind, very weird. I thought it was really happening. Extreme terror like I've never felt because it was a battle with God and he lost. Not that I'm religious.

Well it's not the same thing.

Anyways good thread. Will be interesting to see what pans out,
I'm wondering about earthquakes due to the magnetic pull. It's gonna be right over the cascadia and New Madrid fault lines.

It won't be planet-x or Nibiru surprising us in the total eclipse.

SOHO moves around the Sun in step with the Earth, by slowly orbiting around the First Lagrangian Point (L1), where the combined gravity of the Earth and Sun keep SOHO in an orbit locked to the Earth-Sun line. The L1 point is approximately 1.5 million kilometres away from Earth (about four times the distance of the Moon), in the direction of the Sun. There, SOHO enjoys an uninterrupted view of our daylight star.
Source:SOHO fact Sheet

We can see deep space behind the Sun, wherever it is, in a yearly granularity , so nothing BIG is going to sneak up behind the Sun that this instrument will not detect.

Here's some doom and gloom for you. I just joined. Killer forum. I uploaded a video called "Rick and Morty and the Great American Eclipse" that I worked for a while on regarding strange predictive programming surrounding the upcoming eclipse. If any of you are interested here it is. Didn't know where else to share it.
