Probably helps him remember who/where he is. It's a common memory exercise for dementia and Alzheimer's patients.

Go figure.

Interesting, with all three of the current Alzheimer's patients (family), my family care gives or checks in on, not once has that treatment been mentioned as a possibility, exercise or common treatment, that includes from the nurses, speech pathologists, and MDs in my family (and the assistants, but let's not count those).
To my knowledge, the people who treat them daily have not recommended this therapy either.
I would be very interested in the studies that claim this is a valid exercise.
Please link them

My father does not have Alzheimers, but does suffer from another form of dementia and has severe memory loss. Scrapbook therapy is something we do with him. All partisan bickering aside, it can be helpful.

Here is a link: www.biaoregon.org...

I do appreciate the link. It does say this "Available studies on the use of scrapbook photo albums when working with
Alzheimer’s patients are typically either anecdotal or involve only a small
number of patients and are not well controlled."

In PM so not to take away from this thread , please let me know how it works for your father.

Trump is winning like Charlie Sheen is winning.

It was a joke ...

Anyone remember Mitt Romney's "Binders full-o-women"?

Well, Trump has "binders full of winnin"

So ATS told me I have a response from you, yet this is the only response I find, and not to me.
I just want to be sure that my interest in alternative treatments for Alzheimers are not being considered as me being a DB.

yep thats right. It's easy to be an idealist when the world you live in is fantastic. It's hard when the world you live in is burning. This is what a lot of "Democrats" don't understand. Democrats represent idealism and republicans represent realism. The voters last election wanted/needed real things like jobs more so than high ideals like world peace.

yes that`s exactly what I was trying to say, even the democrats who were living in an idealistic world saw that their real world had gone to crap after 8 years of Obama so their idealism wore off very quick when election time came around.it`s easy to be idealistic when it doesn`t affect you personally but when it comes down to the choice of being idealistic or protecting your family and kids everyone does what they think will best to protect their family and kids.a lot of democrats saw that Hillary was not going to protect them and their familys.
edit on 9-8-2017 by Tardacus because: (no reason given)

He certainly doesn't have time to watch the news anymore.

But he would want a summary of stories relevant to him. The second folder is probably filtered down to go in the defamation lawsuit file.

Most classifying Trump as a narcissistic, near-dementia patient are correct.

Whether or not he has a mental disability has no excuse or reasoning to say that he is not a liar.

Donald J. Trump is a liar--and if you say he is not a liar, you are a liar.

I still support him because he's not a Satanist who's part of a conspiracy to rule the world, but this kind of thing, that it would be all about "him" is what scared most of us, and probably many who went and voted for him anyway.

Given the assault that he's been under, I'll let him take a pass on this one.

What it may show however is that he doesn't understand the true basis of his own narrative
and what Make America Great again really means.

It's too small, and a waste of time. Maybe when he's got his confidence and stride he won't need it any more..

It's like one of those things that a baby sucks on, what do they call it, a pacifier. Even his mouth when he speaks makes him look like a baby that's spent too much time with its thumb in its mouth.

Hey I can make fun of him and his narcissism and character disorders and still support him because he's not a Satanist, can't I?

If this is what we have to complain about, that a President looks at positive news, then I think we should be grateful and feel pretty good for the time being. At least until Trump starts turning into Hitler, which Leftists assure us he will.

If he requires good news about himself then he is already turning into Hitler. Not to mention an Auschwitz survivor said Trumps immigration policy is like Hitlers.

Me thinks you have more in comin with Hitler than your President does. Just my opinion.

But on topic, I would just like to say the amount of people who demand their safe spaces so that they can find comfort in their little bubble of their echo chamber who are upset over this should really take a gander in the mirror.

three current and former White House officials

Isn't this what we're talking about? Unless your droppin bombs ala "Deep Throat", you need put your name on it if you want it to be taken seriously.

Otherwise so what. Bill was getting dome in the White House, yet he still ran the White House. America has checks and balances (as terrible as they are), let the man be President. It seems to me that your more concerned with smearing the man (VICE news that is) as oppose to reporting on serious ish, like how these "jobs" Trump touted ain't materializing.

Unfortunately for Trump, it doesn't really matter if this is true or not, because most people (not just partisan Democrats) can easily imagine Trump engaging in such lunacy.

Except it is not lunacy.

It might be something as mundane as deciding narratives and which stories to push and which to bury. You would want to know which stories have some (spinnable) positive traction.

Contacted by VICE News, Spicer disputed the nature of the folder. “While I won’t comment on materials we share with the president, this is not accurate on several levels,” he said in an email. Asked what about the story was inaccurate, Spicer did not respond.

I know this was already quoted, but the article is dated today and they're talking to Spicer, who no longer works for this administration?

Not only fake news, but SLOPPY fake news. Nice try at character assassination, NO CIGAR.

Or else it's true and Trump's "you're fired" policy is making those that he chucked out start to feel like they want to get back at him by revealing things that they know. Things that don't show him in a very good light.

If you're not loyal to people, they won't stay loyal to you.

is this an impeachable offence?

Please fill this up with your tears. I thirst.

Grasping much? Give me a break. It the Countries tears filling that mug, not the OP's!
