Didn't we invade Iraq because we thought they had WMD? Why are we afraid of invading North Korea?

Plus everyone was so quick to invade Iraq because they thought they had WMD. Meanwhile NK actually has WEAPONS OF MASS DESTRUCTION AND OPENLY BRAG ABOUT LOL.

Do you see the distinction between the 2?

You ask "Didn't we invade Iraq because we thought they had WMD? Why are we afraid of invading North Korea?"

Its different to invade a country where you know they haven't got the weapons but are developing them compared to invading a country that already has the weapons.

Because NK doesn't have rare historical artifacts that we want to remove from public eye? The first thing we did in Iraq was make a beeline towards baghdad and raided the Iraq National Museum. Our whole strategy was completely unorthodox in that invasion. We didn't consolidate any of the ground but just pushed straight for baghdad.

I wonder what the secrets of babylon would have told us?
