The correct terminology is "Authoritarian".

The left and right are both authoritarians in their ideology. They basically use the gov't to force their ideas upon others. Or alternatively, street violence, threats, and social maneuvers.

A piece of paper can?t enforce anything. It takes people's will to make things happen.

I know leftists like yourself don't understand the fact that the U.S. Constitution is not "just a piece of paper"... It is the law of the land which leftists, including "progressive Republicans" have been subverting and trying to destroy for decades.

I'm not a leftist. I'm a realist.

Any law is only as valid as the peoples will to accept it. That is why prohibition failed. That is a fact. Not idealism about the "laws of the land".

Not really, authoritarians tend to give more and more power to the state, and for the most part democrats and all other leftists do that. One of the basis of true Republicans is "a smaller government". I am not talking about RINOs like McCain, or Paul Ryan who favor the state as well because they are progressives and tend to side with the left on issues like "Obamacare" because it has given the government even more power over the people. Sure there can be people in the right that can become authoritarians. But the majority of true Republicans are not authoritarian because they favor less government power.

So do republicans, what else would you call, bans on abortion, the war on drugs, the fight against porn and even book banning. Both sides are OK with the state forcing the things they want forced.

Not just with fascism, but in general, this is something I have said about the left for a long long time. They accuse and complain the most about the things they are most guilty of themselves. hillary going on about Russia? Look at HER Russian ties, etc. This behavior is not the exclusive domain of the left. I am not saying it is. But I have seen it far more from the left than the right.

My best example is the running dialogue in Chicago. The mayor will hold a press conference saying he will not meet with the Governor to discuss the budget because the Governor refuses to step across the party lines and discuss the budget with the democrats... You cant make this stuff up. Its so f***ed up it has to be real.

That Soro's conspiracy is as bad as the "Muh Russia Conspiracy" it lacks any integrity and intellectual thought.

The thing about the "Soro's conspiracy" is that there is a real paper trail with real money being handed off to these groups. It just doesn't fall out of thin air like the Russia Dossier.

I think this shows how much of an anarchist you really are. Defending king-makers like Soro's and the Koch brothers who have been on record manipulating politics for decades... don't you see the irony here? These people should be high up on your "resist" list, but instead you brush it off as a conspiracy while their proxies are taking over your movement.

So much for the "revolution".

First of all, many leftists as well as progressives think that "human fetuses" have no rights. There are already progressive doctors, progressive scientists, and progressive philosophers arguing that because in their minds "human fetuses" have no rights, that newborns also have no right to life, and that their parents can decide to murder newborns even if there is nothing wrong with their health... If Republicans, and other people who lean to the right want to put a stop to the idiocy from the left, it is because you all have lost any sense of understanding that "human fetuses and newborns do have a right to life".

As for "the fight against porn"... It is similar to the argument from many in the left who want children as young as 4 years old to learn about sexuality and on whom gender bender ideology" the left want to force on children... The argument the right has is that "let children be children" and the parents are the ones who should decide what to teach their children and how to... The only ones trying to force, and for the state to force the "gender bender ideology and teach children how to sodomize each other is the left."

You seem to want anarchism to exist, and sorry to rain in your parade but no society can survive in anarchy, as it only brings chaos.

So we agree they want to use state force. They are authoritarian.

No, both side try to use the power of the state to get what they want done.

I never said I wanted anything. I'm just pointing out that the american right is just as statist/authoritarian as the left.

Yeah but, from the same wiki-entry:

In the late 20th and early 21st centuries, the term left fascism has been used to describe unusual hybrid political alliances.

So it is a redefining like "liberal". It was coined in the 60's.

ETA: What is even better is that:

The most prominent early user of the term left-fascism was Jürgen Habermas, a sociologist and philosopher influenced by the neo-Marxist Frankfurt School. He used the term in the 1960s to distance the Frankfurt School from the violence and authoritarianism of left-wing terrorists.

It was used to describe freedom loving leftists. Go figure.

If you believe you have the right to gag another human,
to block up their eyes and ears so they can't see any message but your own,
the right to castigate and punish them for their thoughts,
to use violence rather than reason,
Then you are a fascist, no matter what it says on your damn bumper sticker.

When most normal people toss around the word fascist, they mean in the authoritarian sense.
I doubt anyone meant in the secular or economic sense of fascist government.

Fascists silence all but their own opinions for fear of people hearing a better message and leaving.

If your ideology can't hold up to scrutiny and debate, then it's worthless. If you use violence or the threat thereof to continue to promote that ideology, then you are a fascist, whether of the right or the left is immaterial.

Syntagmas such as left-wing fascism provide shorthand labels, but they lack any universally understood or agreed meaning and in common parlance may be used as a pejorative for any left-wing political position, or where unusual (or contradictory) hybrid political positions are perceived.

No one is denying 'Left-Authoritarian" see any Political party right-left or center
