Duze...I sometimes wonder myself...but it must be that chest-beating thing that sneaks up on me (like a ton o'bricks) when someone dumps on the great white North!

Be it ever so humble...

Here is a quote from one of your fellow Canadians:

Pil is a mans beer. It is also part of the reason why Western Canadians aren't pussys like they are in Ontario and Quebec. Go Riders!

Call my beer disgusting, maybe we will invade after all.

That explains it then, I'm not a man
I never thought I'd see an American quoting a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan
Go Lions

LOL, no Beer beer is disgusting, pilsner is just pilsner. I drank enough Old Style as a broke teenager, to know that it has it's charms. I was partial to magnums of Baby Duck wine too, but that doesn't mean I wouldn't rather have a good beer, like Gastown Amber Ale.

I equate National Pride to how you feel about your mother. You can rag on her all you want, but if anyone else says word one.....

I think that's something we all have in common, no matter what country we're from.

Canada is....always has...and alway'zzzzz will be with the US 100% if WW3 broke out....no questions asked....

Considering how "small" (population)....compared t'a big ass America.....we not to shabby of a force...plus we good for supply lines, if we need t'a organize.....we can
.

Just some of us....Canadian...don't agree 100% with the Iraq war...but that's another thread.

Plus if someone invaded America......bet our Couz' Mexico would also have something to say about it.....man hate t'a be the country to think of doing that....first America would attack then the Canadian and then the Mexican'zzzz oh brother......don't think even China & Russia could beat that off

Y'r always 100% behind'ya Canadian friend.............Sven

Glad you liked it

It's just so obvious. Why would they come through Canada? Unless they came via Greenland (I keep telling you people, you have to keep your eye on those sneaky danish) it's the best route.

  1. Build up Cuba
  2. Blockade the Gulf
  3. Close the Panama canal to you
  4. Shoot the Mexican border guard $20
  5. Start running North

Why even bother with Canada? Plus, it's way to friggin cold up there for anyone to pass up a trip to Mexico
It would be much smarter to go through South America.

Like I said before, play nice America.

I agree 100%, that's why I said only "some" Americans. I've travelled extensively in the States, mostly the East and West Coast and I've actually been insulted by people for being a Canadian. "French loving bastard" is one of the epithets hurled at me. "Your country is full of socialist cowards" was another one.

Any American who could truly "hate" someone for being Canadian has to have some sort of learning disability. For pretty much the entirety of the last century they've been our friends and allies.

Now, the Quebequois, that's different. They need to be eliminated, for the good of the world.

Okay, there's a big difference between lies and misinformation. If you want to blame someone about lies on WMDs, blame MI-6, who were the ones who told the U.S. that Iraq had WMDs to begin with. Considering MI-6's reputation and the fact that they are allies, it would make sense that they would be believed with minimal fact-checking here in America. Add a trigger happy arsehead president to the mix, and it's understandable that such a horrible -mistake- would be made. It was not a lie, it was a mistake, and one that GW refuses to admit making. There's a big difference.

Secondly, the mass murders in Iraq was not a lie. Saddham and the Shiites were notorious for death camps and countless murders of Kurds. To say it was a lie is dishonoring their memory.

As for Iraq being a threat, well... It was still not technically a lie, just a very very very asinine judgement call, in the face of Afghani Taliban, Osama Bin Ladin, and North Korea's mounting nuclear activities.

Finally, in regards to oil. This is flat out ignorance, and I hate to throw that word around. But it's the same media and "common man" regurgitated response that makes me furious at the protestors. Furious because they're citing the wrong reasons the Iraq War was a mistake. I will now state, with no disrespect intended, for the benefit of everyone here:

IRAQ PRODUCES LESS THAN 3% OF THE WORLD'S OIL.

Now, I still think the war in Iraq was wrong, that Bush is an idiot who makes bad judgement calls that will set us back 50 years, and that his whole administration is clown act posing as a fire department. But oil is not, and never was, the reason Iraq was invaded, and this incorrect statement of "the Iraq War was all about oil" drowns out the legitimate complaints.

...Heck, even Mexico makes good beer.

First. By this reasoning, Radagast, we could be justified in dropping a neutron bomb on your house as well. If you truly feel that we should, in fact, use such a horrible weapon on a country that has been our neighbor and ally for upwards of a century, then...well...hell, I can't even fathom a thought like that, so I can't suggest something retaliatory. If you're just looking for a laugh, it wasn't funny. Many of us in America have family and friends both north and south of the U.S. border. If you absolutely must do away with any part of the far north, get rid of Quebec. I'm not even sure Canada would object to that (just don't ruin Niagra Falls, cause it's cool).

Second, born in Texas, having visited Mexico many a times in my life, and having a large number of Mexican and Mexican-American friends on either side of the border who will admit to the very same thing, I can confidently say "Mexican beer is horse piss". If this offends any of our Latino community, I refer you to the previously mentioned friends who taught me that phrase.

Reading on, I see you admited to trolling, but I still stand by my second statement.

Again, I'm not even remotely a fan of Bush, but the Kyoto agreement was flawed, and our own clean air standards have proven more effective and cost-efficient.

At least you Canadians don't have Mexico on your border!!!! So it can't be all that bad up there.

Oh my God, people! When did us Americans become such a damned hateful bunch of bigots? Sure Mexican beer sucks, but that doesn't mean the people are bad.

Wouldn't you already call this a world war? Bush is going around the world trying to spread his vision of democracy with force. Not that I'm comparing Bush to Hitler, but Wasn't Hitler's motive quite similar? Trying to take over Europe and remodel it in his way?

so, I say there is already a world war, and Canada is being smart and staying out of it. Good for us!

Examine the last two world wars and reconsider the prospect. This is like saying "Our whole street got flooded last week in the rain! Wouldn't you call this another Tsunami?" Bush did what is recognizable to those of us who've seen a lot of presidents over the decades. He waged a holy war to get votes. It wasn't about oil, it wasn't about democracy, it wasn't about WMDs or terrorism. It was a war to get votes for his re-election. Now that he's gotten the coveted second term, I doubt we'll see another country invaded during his administration.

Now, I can understand disagreeing over Kyoto- I know its flawed, but it can be fixed. But you ragging on Quebec, that's different. It's hard to get along with people when you ahve a different language, different culture, and the anglophones -who are a minority in quebec by a long shot (8% of the population)- start calling the shots. Quebec is the second most populated area in Canada, and ahs three times the landmass of France, which is largely unexploited.

You don't seem to know where Niagra falls is, even. It's in Ontario, nowhere near Quebec. It powers most of your northwest, and produces food, machinery, pulp and paper, lumber and hydroelectricity.

Learn before you knock it. I'm a quebecer, yo.
