Touche` on the proper spelling to conform..or toe to the phrase.

However, towing the party line, as in carrying for/instead is also appropriate.

The D. Eagle is watching.

Trumps spirit animal, Talon the wise, is not to be trifled with. He is the harbinger of the power of freedom. Trump does well not to displease him.

They must maintain a symbiotic relationship

I distrust main stream polls too, but clearly this ATS poll does not discredit anything.

However, this thread has shown one interesting thing.

By looking at the results of the poll, it seems there are way more people approving of Trump than disapproving on this thread.

However, look at the stars given out, particularly on the first page. It seems the people disapproving of trump are getting more stars.

Could there be a silent majority against Trump? Or perhaps anti trump people are more willing to use the star feature?

"Towing the line" is not a thing.

Who tows a line?

A line of what? Fish?

"Carrying the water" would work.

That is an excellent question. I think that people on here are familiar with each other. If they answered with an approve or disapprove I have tried to star it.

Silent majority or multiple accounts?

Given the climate of the political scene from both sides, it stands to reason that there is a large, very large silent majority caught in the middle. From that reasoning I would also wager that no one has switched sides either, rather joined that same silent majority.

How do you even beat someone with a bat over the internet? That is a trick I would like to learn in all honesty.

Nay. But... C'mon, asking ATS this is like walking into a klan rally, asking "who likes white folk"

So you don't think that this has any representation in the real world? How do you think Trump won the election then?

Not by a popular vote, that's for sure.

Can't really say that I approve of him. I mentioned in another thread that I I am a person who is transgendered and first off all that means is I was born female but have always felt I have should have been born male. I have no desire to receive any sort of re-assignment surgery as I am happy with who God made me, but I would NEVER pass judgement on anyone else who feels different. I have served in the US military under the 'Don't Know Don't Ask' mandate and was accepted by my platoon. Before you pass judgement, remember I did give up 6 years to serve my country ... have you? ... Anyway given these days and our current government, I have never experienced so much hate until now.

Approve. I'd give him a B+. Gorsuch to the Supreme Court, Illegal Immigration reduction, stopping the TPP, pulling out of the Globalist Paris Accord etc.

Question my reasoning for inappropriately using the phrase with another cliche that makes just as much sense??

Do political parties have water? Why would anyone need to carry it?

See how silly this is. I conceded to your point, don't push it.

Jesus, I'm in tears, maybe I should collect them and sell them to TheAntediluvian.

I'm stocked up. Snarl was looking for some though. Something about his kool-aid being a little strong, said you'd know what he was talking about?

ROFL

Too bad this isn't the way every poll is run.

It just transformed into, "I'm right and not you" kind of deal, as to be expected from a two party system.

And along with that, sadly it has become not necessarily putting your constituents or your country first, but your political affiliation. If it's not your side, it's wrong and the enemy.

That's not good as a country, as a community of different values and beliefs.

I'm a right leaning centrist and totally advocate American.

I'm left and I love my country. I advocate American and local source depending....

I love being an American with a President who puts America first

I love my country, too. But I can't support Trump until he does things I consider worth support.

Fair enough.
