Ukraine has 40 million people. A huge market for coal. Ukraine is a corrupt poor country. Has no wind or solar energy. They use coal to generate electricity. Trump and Poroshenko struck deal to export coal to Ukraine to burn and make carbon dioxide. Whether you like it or not, carbon dioxide WILL go up and there is nothing you can do about it.

Xcoal Energy & Resources inked the deal to ship 700,000 tons of thermal coal — used to produce electricity — to Ukraine by the end of the year for use by Centrenergo PJSC.

"The U.S. coal will replace Russian origin coal at existing thermal power plants, i.e., energy security and diversification,” he said in a statement.

BUT Russians !!

The coal will also cut into the Russian natural gas profits.

So much for the Trump "Coalution theories.

Are you stuck in reverse or something???

It's like the more sh*tty of an idea it is you post here, the more fantastic you seem to think it is.

Hooray for the poor people of Ukraine and their corrupt Leader for keeping them stuck in century old, dirty technology like coal burning rather than investing in something renewable then I guess. Congratulations to you as well for regressing both morally and intellectually back into the age of cavemen as well.

Oh, and also congrats for being in the top 10 for most active trolls here at ATS as well. Time well spent.

I agree whole heartedly with you including OP spamming with trash posts.

Renewable energy = economic independence and no need for dumb wars.

Everyone wins. And while some people are foolish enough to believe black soot is harmless, even if it is who cares if we have renewable energy.

Well also need coal and oil for different aspects, so we should save it. Like industrial applications, filtering water, the list goes on.

Coal trains are 132 cars long
At least 7 a week go by my house headed north towards Grand Rapids Michigan year round. No trains Saturday or Tuesday night.
That's a lot of coal
It's the Russians fault, They should buy it all so we could sit in the dark!!

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!!

Some countries don't prefer wind. Too much motion sickness. There isn't a lot of natural resources to build solar panels.

Motion sickness from wind??? Never heard of that.

So they can buy solar panels rather than make them.
