But you made comments about the crowds around the execution, while there aren't public executions in UK, crowds are just as savage in the UK, and they use phones to record at the most inappropriate of times too.


This is a human condition, no need to label a particular crowd in a foreign country. They exist everywhere.

No, the people are not the same at all, and the culture is not the same.
If the govt pulled a stunt like that in this country, people would be trying to stop it on the streets, not fighting for a front row seat to witness it.

Seems to me there is not that much we can do to prevent paedophilia occurring overall as it has raised it's perverted head throughout recorded history in just about every culture humanity has spawned.

Fact is unfortunately it seem to be part of the human condition, part of some peoples(obviously damaged) sexuality.

End of the day its a power trip for most of the perverted bastards and all we can really do is execute them or attempt to warehouse said deviants thus prevent them destroying the lives of other children.

Was he found guilty of depriving an equal human being of her life, or was he guilty of destroying another man's property/chattel?

No women being there may be a hint.

Interested in everyone's take on this. We are viewing this with western eyes...like he somehow deserved it because he killed a child. It may be viewed entirely differently in its local context.

Between the sexism, zealotry, lack of self discipline, torturous female mutilations and taping women who may ot may not be escorted by a man across 1500ish years. Every once in a long while Theyre bound to kill someone who actially did something wrong. Unless that to was a BS farce of justice to execute competition. But like all atrocities in Africa if it doesnt directly aggect out lives it will be forgotten within minutes or hours

I hate to think there was corruption in the mid east.

I once worked with a bloke who who was a project manager. He worked for 5 years in the mid east in a construction management role on a construction project and he said it only towards the end, that he realised that his job was to take the blame if something went wrong, so the local manager could save face. He said saving face was very important to them.

Hate to think this blokes family receives a large payout in the not too distant future and the real perp dissappears into the night.

Please let me explain.

First off, I agree, we cannot have a person like this exist among us. The fact we have a black and white justice system allows these things to get second chances which is not acceptable.

Second, I am of the opinion that these monsters would really prefer not to want to rape/fantasize/enjoy suffering of children, but they dont have a choice, for some disgusting twist of fate, they have it. However, just because I think they did not get a choice, does not mean I think they should ever be free once we found out they were a monster. Bad hand, tough luck, its not societies fault they are freaks and it is not up to society to accept the risk.

Third, killing them may be the answer but I think we are acting like a mob mentality.

Thinking that the threat of death and custodials can change a persons mental make up is just the same as threatening gay people with death to make them straight. I am not comparing homosexuality with pedophilia, I am comparing a persons chemical make up and the ability to change it with threats.

In many instances, homosexuality was repressed however, it never went away and it was never CURED!

You wont CURE pedophilia and I am sure that it will never be acceptable like homosexuality, perhaps.

So if you cant threaten it away with prison or the death of the OP, surely we should just lock them up forever and work out if we can cure it and if we cant, keep it locked away?

Whether or not he was being made to answer for child rape and murder or destruction of another Mans chattel he certainly got his just deserts.

Hell of a way to look at life all the same when a society considers 3 year old little girls to be property rather than a person with a future, hopes and dreams.

Suppose it could be argued that our own respective societies considered people to be nothing more than chattel only a few 100 years ago, Christ we were still sending 5 year olds to work down mines and "transportation" them to far off lands only a few 100 years ago.

That being said children should never be treated as anything other than people, especially so in this day of age. But like you point out our western first world eyes tend to see things rather differently.
